Tarpi deserves this for playing the fixer over Misha.

Hopefully he uses his brain and plays Misha in the 5th tie, it will most likeley be 2-2

That is if he wants to win.

Can't believe he won this after choking a million times.
You can bet on him shanking his forehands whenever he's in a position to close it out.

But, since I hate that fucking cheater Davyd., well done.

Wow, what a comeback after blowing several chances in the first and the fourth set! :yeah:
Nobody expected him to make that rebreak in the final set. Well done, Kohli. :)

I was almost sure, that he would lose after his fh, which would have earned him two mps, hit the net cord and went wide. Glad he made the next point and converted that one mp. :)

Tarpi deserves this for playing the fixer over Misha.

Considering the last two matches between Kohlschreiber and Youzhny on clay, there was no way that he would have played instead of Davydenko.

Maybe it's a bad matchup for Youzhny but he is a big reason they are here, and I know he raises his game for this type of match, unlike Davydenko, I just hope he gets a chance too play Haas on sunday.

Davydenko was pathetic in the first three sets, so Kohlschreiber should have won in three. That he won in the fifth was indeed surprising.

Tomorrow we get the only 50/50 match on the paper I guess. It's the big chance for the magician Philipp Petzschner. :worship:

get off davydenko

before the match started russian tennis channel said that nikolay had fever and hardly slept last night, he was sick and you could see it, very weak, sweating... it was just his bad luck

i am sure he thought he could still make it and tarpi took that risk to save youzhny for sunday...

davydenko did more than he could in 1st set and played just great in the 4th and half of 5th set... the russian commentators kept saying that the match is taking for too long for davydenko to win... so, the defeat was not unexpected..

stop insulting player! it is more than unfair! i saw the match from the beginning until the last point and i know what i am talking about... unlike some of you...

Even if it's DC, a competition where Davydenko doesn't always play his best, I don't see him losing against Haas on clay.
So count me in, hoping for Youzhny to replace him. :D

Great win and not unexpected. He's by far Germany's most reliable clay player and it's not unusual for Davydenko to play poorly in his first match on a new surface.

But I still think it would take a minor miracle for Germany to pull this off. There is no way I see Kohli beating the Davis Cup monster Andreev so Haas would have to win the 4th rubber. Davydenko has never screwed up twice in a Davis Cup tie before.
