Tim :worship:

Played well, choked a little at the end but very comfortable.

Tim should play the doubles with Jamie Murray tomorrow and clinch the tie with his final match as a professional :)

Well done Tim, good way to finish. Think Lloyd has to play him tomorrow now after the reception and Sue's interview :D

Apart from the few nerves he showed when serving for the match it was a very solid match... Well done Timmy

I don't think LLoyd will, if he doesn't he should be shot!

Well done Tim...did just enough to win! :bigclap: :woohoo: :yeah: :bounce:

Kissing the grass :sobbing:

I think he and Jamie are the best doubles partnership (and should play tomorrow) but I guess it would be pretty gutting if he lost that rubber and it turned out to be his last match. At least retiring after today he'd be going out on a personal win, and what should be a team win, whether tomorrow or on Sunday.

Thanks for everything you have done for British tennis, Tim. Absolute legend! :worship:  :sobbing:

Roko

But Tim :yeah: He was a great player,he will be missed, but I hope this still isnt his last match  a deciding 5th rubber against Cilic would be great
But only if we win doubles and Ljubo heals, both very unlikely, but at least we can hope.:wavey:

Timmay! :worship:

Given the nasty 'orrible clay draws we keep getting at this stage in the competition I suppose we warranted a 'gift' victory like this.

I'm hoping he plays on Sunday as I have tickets - if it's going to be games between players outside of the top 200 + I want my money back. Who wants to pay £42 to watch that!

I want to see him play doubles tomorrow too. he's pretty good at it. Didn't he win an olympic medal in ..was it '96? and was it silver or bronze? seems like a lifetime ago. Just shows how long he's been propping up british tennis for.....

Yeah, that surprised me a lot too. He's been wearing the same expression throughout Tim's whole career. Nice to see he can display a bit of emotion. :)

I hope Tim plays the doubles tomorrow.

Tim

I'll really miss him. The last time I wanted him to win a match this badly was against Coria at Roland Garros. Wimby won't be quite the same without him and his fans on the hill.

It was a solid performance but he was also understandably a little nervous. Truth be told this Karanusic was quite rubbish and the result was never in doubt.

This isn't the first time I've seen Roko, he played JCF at Wimby last year. Again it just reiterates that Davis Cup isn't about the quality of the tennis but the atmosphere and drama.
