Oh god he made hark work of that :o

Still, good effort from Muzza. Absolutely brilliant in places and woeful at times. Some shocking line calls didn't help, but this tie should be wrapped up by tomorrow

Now let's roll Tim :sport:

How was he playing? Any signs of struggling physically?

Cilic is such a big headcase. He chokes in almost every set and when it all comes down to few important balls he shits in his pants.

Cilic is a mug, will never be a top player.

Quality for much of that match was absolute shithouse. At least Murray got the job done and gutsy effort from Cilic.

Andy Murray is better then djokovic Nadal and Federer if he has his form back:worship:

Unbelievably inconsistent, he would play 1 great point then an absolute shocker. At one point he seemed to be struggling, served 3 double faults in a game but he looked ok in the 5th, he would have his odd moment where he looked shattered but I think that's just him.

Muzza has realised being a British tennis player means he can't win matches comfortably....we need our rollercoasters

I was going to go on Sunday but the weather forecast was awful so I didn't, and now it looks like the weather might be ok :o I think the tie will be over already so maybe it isn't such a bad thing :p

Nope. We have colours.

Thanks for that, I thought that was a rule of the All England Club that the players need to be in all white always, no matter the ocassion.

Great win for Andy - it was a fight. Hopefully he wont be too fatigued for the doubles and potentially the reverse singles on Saturday.

GBR 2-0 now. Glad Murray won, a bit sloppy though.

How was his wrist? Was he pushing the ball today like he was during the summer hardcourt events?

Awesome!

My first ever Davis Cup tie. It was everything I expected, poor quality tennis but an incredible atmosphere.

Andy admitted he was nervous at the start and a little overwhelmed by the occasion. The crowd helped him a lot today especially at 5-4 in the 2nd when he needed to break to take the set. It looked to me like Cilic was cramping in the 5th and Andy was getting a lot more cheap points.

Wrist seemed absolutely fine, he was taking full swings on the topspin forehands with no noticeable adverse effects.

Looked fine to me. He unleashed on the FH a few times but then he doesn't always choose to play like that. Mostly it was a very nervy match and he was just happy to get the W.

Great, GREAT, to see Mr. Muzza back on the courts again - and WINNING, no less! :worship: :hearts: :yeah:

Good job, Andy. Hope to see you do a lot more of that kind of 'damage' soon... anywhere!
