Takao! :worship: What a beating!

And people say serving isn't technique. The guy is 1.75 and served as many aces as 1.98 Hanescu.

He is a legend.

Too good in Japan and on Carpet, he really knows how to bring his game to the next level and you gotta love him for that.

Never in doubt.

Hanescu served around 80% first serves and could barely make two sets close. You gotta love Suzuki.

Federer, but it won't be easy ;)

Wasn't easy, in fact. Federer did beat Takao in Tokyo last year, and it was very close - third set TB.

No BPs for Hanescu. This Suzuki is good.

Great job, Suzuki!! :yippee: :yippee: :yippee:
I was a bit worried beause Hanescu was playing very well in Bucharest.
But on a fast surface Takao has an upperhand!
Soeda probably has no chance against Pavel, so Japan must win the doubles tomorrow then it will come down to Suzuki vs Pavel.
