Wow... 6-2, 6-0, 6-2...
Massu made 33 unforced errors compared to only 9 of Robredo! :)

That is a surprise! I expected Racoon to actually win that match and i expected it be close. What on earth happened to him? :tape:

I was wondering the same, why do they put this kinda matches on court 17 :( grrrrr. But I would really like to know if Robredo was THAT good.
Anyway, well done Tommy (once again :))

Yeah, Robredo played well, but Massu was very nervous. At the end of the first set he complained about a pain in his leg, so I don't know, maybe it was bothering him...

Massu should be fined for lack of effort

I don't know, tc. If that's the case, then they should have fined Dent for that embarrassingly bad performance against Roddick at the AO.

yeah i agree. i have never understood why Safin got fined a couple of years ago (for lack of effort) when so many other players get away with it. Massu didn't even fricking TRY. and match-point was beyond pathetic -- he didn't even move to the flipping ball. somebody needs to dock his pay.

I was at the match today - Massu was definately injured although not sure what the problem was. He was in a lot of pain though - so rather than being fined for lack of effort, I think he should be congratulated for sticking it out til the end. Actually Court 17 is quite a big court - and loads of atmosphere on it.

Thanks for the info, Rosie. I suspected that Massu was hurt but no where to confirm it.

Moyá is def. one of the biggest favourites to win (more so than Nalbandían) now :)

- Jealous - Tough for Nicolas, but a great win for Tommy nonetheless. Congrats to him and I hope you had fun Rosie ;)

That's surprising. And I think we might see a similar score in Robredo's next match, just a different winner. ;)

Thanks, Rosie!! I just couldn't get it out of my head that something was wrong with Nico   .

I wanted Tommy to win today but I wanted a tight match between favorites.

Well, stranger things have happened. Like that whole Sampras losing to Corretja on grass thing. That? Was much much stranger. But even if Moya plays like total ass, Robredo *will* find a way to blow it. Bank on that that ;)

I think Robredo will give Moya a match, it will go at least 4 sets but I see Moya prevailing. I really think Moya will eat up Robredo's serve putting "T-Rob" on the defense early and often.

yes he got his upper left thigh massaged a couple of times during changeovers but it wasn't clear how "injured" he was and that was actually quite late in the game. it doesn't explain his earlier lacklustre performance.

I was at that match and I can understand why the fined him, while I don't agree with it and Massu is not the type to tank either. Why would he tank in the 3rd round of the Slam that he has the best chance of doing his best results. If it was Wimbledon then it would make sense.
