Escude wipes the floor with Youzhny

God, Escude is having a really good tournament, how come, this guy is renowned for being useless unless hes on a hard court. He must be the first classic serve and volleyer in the 4th round for ages.

he didn't exactly wipe the floor with youzhny. if anyone is wiping the floor with his opponent, it's robredo against massu....

Yeah, Robredo killed him! Vamos Tommy! ;)

Exactly, I saw the whole Escude - Youzhny match, there was no wiping there. Not at all. Just a really exciting match, with Nico getting the edge over my personal fave Misha...
Wow.. the job Robredo did on Massu, He totally trashed the poor guy...Wahooo. Well done Tommy :worship: :woohoo:

Bien joué Nicolas - hope you beat Coria in next round! :haha:

Escude surprised me too. His worst surface is clay, and its not a good surface for a serve-volleyer but hes come thru nicely! And he beat really good opponents too, not like Henman. Great tournament! Hope he can beat Coria!

Mikhail my hottie

That's disappointing. Youzhny is better than Escude on slow surfaces, or so I thought. A missed opportunity for him to make his second Slam Ro16, although maybe he just wanted to avoid the inevitable Coria beat-down in the next round.

Michael what happened! :speakles:

Escude is using the Patrick Rafter method of getting to the net at Roland Garros. Didn't Rafter make the semis one year?

He made the semis in 97 and that was the only way he could play.
