Congrats to Fena.

I would have liked for Tommy to get a 2nd title this year, but at least he already has one. Fantastic tournament for him, regardless. It's exactly what he needed confidence wise, and points wise. He's back in the top 10. Haters be damned. I love it.

First title since Basel in 2005 and about time. Some good play from him, some confident shotmaking and maybe some confidence is back just in the nick of time.

Fena breaking for 3-1 on his 7th break point in the final set was the deciding factor in the end - once he got the break it was all over.

The British commentator was over the top in this enthusiasm, but it was good to listen to Lars Graff doing some commentary for the first 2 sets.

It's about time Gonzo won again and good preparation for Davis Cup.

The commentator was awful.

Still not overly impressed with Gonzo, backhand way too passive again imo but good to see him come through

Don't be so happy Gonzo, now there's a hell of a points to defend. But, as they say, well start anyway

This win should be a confidence booster for the rest of the season when he has a lot of points to defend.

Robredo got destroyed for Gonzalez, who was on fire with his forehand, his backhand was very good too

34 winners and just 13 unforced errors explains Chileans great performance

btw the court seemmed pretty fast to me

*sigh* - Gonzo, you were suppose to carry your slump till AFTER the Davis cup, AFTER. You've been in a slump for 6 monthes and NOW you find your form?

Finally a title for Gonzo. Good to see him winning again. Hope he can qualify for Shanghai. Would be weird if he did seeing as how he has only had like three good tournaments all year.

Fast?? it was waaaaaay slower than the US Open. It's only to see how high was the bounce, players had a lot of rhythm to hit their shots.

Anyway, congrats Feña :hatoff: finally a title after a long, long time :yeah:

Expected win really. If Gonzo is hitting the ball well he wins this match-up.

As for Boredo, well Mickey Mouse tournaments will keep him in top 10 contention.

Great for Fena to find form and it was such a shame when he became a bit of a joke in the middle of the year and he is ready to make a push for a top 8 spot.

high bounce is not synonym of slow court

I just watched more careful some highlights of the final and yeah the court was not so fast -well medium i would sat, i was fooled by Gonzalez power, he was hammering the fh very well, but u can see he has enough time to give huge cut to the balls, pfff i was so asleep to note that :p

but other years was indeed faster

It was a newly laid court, that hadn't had any play on it before the tournament and there was no sliding on it. Definitely not a fast court.
