Neely 05-28-2004, 11:20 AM whats wrong w youzhny? nothing, I'm still a little bit pissed at him because of his Hamburg run beating Kiefer, Burgsmüller and Mayer. It wouldn't be a real big thing, but he was playing so pathetically the weeks before (also when I saw him against Novak in Munich) and then he comes out of nothing with a good run  :o oxy 05-28-2004, 11:21 AM nothing, I'm still a little bit pissed at him because of his Hamburg run beating Kiefer, Burgsmüller and Mayer. It wouldn't be a real big thing, but he was playing so pathetically the weeks before (also when I saw him against Novak in Munich) and then he comes out of nothing with a good run  :o hmm...just like how i dislike coria a little now..;) Raquel 05-28-2004, 11:22 AM First set Tim 7-6 :) Bilbo 05-28-2004, 11:24 AM lucky boy Neely 05-28-2004, 11:32 AM Galo Blanco is almost useless, even on clay with a bad record this season but his wins of the previous rounds have been impressive Marrahorra 05-28-2004, 11:33 AM Corretja stuggling to close out set number 3... hopefully he can take it to 5... Tricky_Forehand 05-28-2004, 04:35 PM Olivier's got the early break on Fabrice :D (very early break but still a break :p ) Neely 05-28-2004, 04:40 PM at least Sluiter is taking things easy, I mean, sure, Moya is the megaclear favorite in this match, but so far it's only a slaughterfest and Moya's service games are often just serves and then maybe one shot after that. BTW, I love Carlos' color of his shirt sooooo much he is wearing in Paris this year... normally, yellow is/was always very neglected color in fashion :yeah: sleeveless it would be perfect ;) Tricky_Forehand 05-28-2004, 04:42 PM At least Raemon's making this set closer :) Olivier :bounce: TheBoiledEgg 05-28-2004, 04:43 PM Carlos 6-0 6-3 :D :) one more set :) Vamos Carlos User ID 4783 05-28-2004, 04:43 PM BTW, I love Carlos' color of his shirt sooooo much he is wearing in Paris this year... normally, yellow is/was always very neglected color in fashion :yeah: sleeveless it would be perfect ;) ;) lol, I got a shock when I saw it... but in the meantime I've started to like it :D :wavey: Tricky_Forehand 05-28-2004, 04:44 PM Olivier 5-0 :woohoo: We get Carlos "Live" next so if they start with the 3rd set I wonder if we'll see Serena for the fourth time  . Neely 05-28-2004, 04:46 PM ;) lol, I got a shock when I saw it... but in the meantime I've started to like it :D :wavey: yeah, I really and honestly think it's cool :D TheBoiledEgg 05-28-2004, 04:46 PM and a good start to set 3 :D :) 1-0 ;) User ID 4783 05-28-2004, 04:50 PM Moyá 2-0 Neely 05-28-2004, 04:53 PM in this last service game from Sluiter you could see that his game is quite powerful with his serve and backhand, especially indoor, on hardcourt and on grass but he just buys no chance today against Carlos Neely 05-28-2004, 04:59 PM meanwhile Dementieva is as usual a disgrace on serve 3 double faults, 3 out of 15 first serves LMAO!!! :rolls: Dementieva 0-6 Tricky_Forehand 05-28-2004, 05:00 PM I think Fabrice has hit the wall. Olivier 6-0, 3-0 :D LCeh 05-28-2004, 05:03 PM Mutis is kicking Santoro's butt! Neely 05-28-2004, 05:07 PM maybe Santoro is too flat and exhausted from this 10 hours having been on court in his two matches before  Neely 05-28-2004, 05:11 PM lol, Carlos' shirt reminds me somehow of this one  ;) http://shop.sportsandbytes.de/media_bvb/product_pics/bvb3/34921002.jpg :ignore: :ignore: :ignore:  Tricky_Forehand 05-28-2004, 05:17 PM Carlos :clap2: Tommy vs. Carlos!! Can't wait till Sunday now!! :bounce: This RG is going better than last year :) Tricky_Forehand 05-28-2004, 05:19 PM Mutis is kicking Santoro's butt! Yep :D Neely 05-28-2004, 05:19 PM sure, it wasn't a real quality claycourt opponent for Carlos in this match, but still that performance was really fucking impressive. I have to rethink about a statement I made earlier in this thread concerning the Robredo vs Moya match  TheBoiledEgg 05-28-2004, 05:25 PM well done Carlos :D :) Tricky_Forehand 05-28-2004, 05:27 PM I guess ESPN doesn't want to show that Olivier was no fluke in beating Roddick. They're showing Sharapova's match now. I don't mind her but I would like to see the final set of Olivier's match. I know that Fabrice must be tired but, by the score, Olivier must be doing something very right. :) TheBoiledEgg 05-28-2004, 05:29 PM wow Carlos 13 Aces 42 winners and only 19 UE's CHATRIER - Men's Singles - 3rd Rnd. Fabrice was 40-0 up in the first game on his serve but now Deuce Tricky_Forehand 05-28-2004, 05:35 PM lol, there can be quite numerous reasons for ESPN to select their matches *g* Oh, I know  . Giving some people their drool factor  I like how Maria plays so I don't mind them showing this match...they could've just waited till Olivier was done with his demolition :) . Is anyone seeing the Mutis vs. Santoro match??? Neely 05-28-2004, 05:39 PM Is anyone seeing the Mutis vs. Santoro match??? no, not me, I have currently live Dementieva vs Pistolesi BTW, I don't like Sharapova :o I would be also pissed off if they showed her match  TheBoiledEgg 05-28-2004, 05:43 PM not fair Euro Int getting tennis while we're getting France vs Andorra   Neely 05-28-2004, 05:50 PM yes, BoiledEgg, I can imagine that France vs Andorra must be really a thriller and a very important game   :rolls: :banghead: Tricky_Forehand 05-28-2004, 05:51 PM Olivier up a break in the 3rd now :D :D :D The stats on the match look like he's just continuing to play really well. Tricky_Forehand 05-28-2004, 06:04 PM Only needed 1 Match Point Olivier Mutis def. Fabrice Santoro 6-0 6-2 6-3 :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: Neely 05-28-2004, 06:08 PM so Dementieva vs Smashnova is the last match of the day, lol Neely 05-28-2004, 06:35 PM on TV they just said that Sontoro's father said before the match that Fabrice was so exhausted, he didn't sleep the whole night and the he could barely stand on the court today... these two matches before have been simply too much for him so we have the answer for this clear win of Mutis Neely 05-28-2004, 06:40 PM Smashnova retired at the beginning of the third set because of heavy cramps in legs and arms Jim Jones 05-28-2004, 10:30 PM Hey Neely that's a bit of an excuse don't you think. Sure santoro has many hours of matches in his legs but remember, Mutis also played a 5 set match against Roddick. Yes, Santoro was tired but Mutis-a former junior Wimbledon champ also played solidly. In any case, Santoro had a day to recuperate. Neely 05-29-2004, 12:23 AM Hey Neely that's a bit of an excuse don't you think. of course it's an excuse, why else should I have it mentioned what they said about Santoro. Sure, Mutis must have played great and I'm not trying to take away his win, but now I know why the results was 0 & 2 & 3 and not closer. Okay, you're right that Mutis also played 5 sets against Roddick and I remember that, but it makes a huge difference if you have this kind of 5 setter against Roddick or if you play against Clement with uncountable games uncountable times over deuce and 30 games in the 5th set. In any case, Santoro had a day to recuperate. yes, he had a day before his match against Mutis today, but so had Mutis, too... and additionally, Santoro had his pending match against Clement that had to be finished the other day. So I would more tend to say Clement was robbed one day to recuperate. | |
