Will Davydenko win a tournament this year ?

He loses in early rounds of all the small events he plays. Yet, he plays some good tennis during masters series and slams. Obviously, he cannot win any big tournaments because of Federer, Nadal and Djokovic's domination. However he may qualify for the YEC once again. But come on, he barely reaches quarter final in other tournaments:eek:

That's because he tanks in other tournaments.

It's a miracle. No.4 in the world and no title. The worst player in the top 10 (Race) now. Even Haas, Ferrer, Ljubo, or Moya each of them have at least one title this year.

He can't be the worst player in the top 10 race, if he is positioned at number 4.

I told you again, He was luck when He won. He is not the Guy who be top 5.

He got go down to No 8 or 10, that be more reasonable for this guy.

Next week he meets with the investigators about the $7 million bet, then he will be off the tour.
So, no, he won't win a title.

Reason he is #4 in the world is cause he travels to every tourney-workaholic!

Stepanek will be playing in Russia this year, no chance for Davyfixer.

So with the exception of the remaining Masters Series events plus the T.M.C. are the only tournaments left this year for Davydenko that he'll have a chance of winning being Moscow and St.Petersberg?

Well, if he rests up before them both and focuses he could win both of them, one of them at least.

Davydenko looked in great form reaching the semis of the U.S. Open and even tested Federer so he just needs to be focused and well rested for those two tournaments and he may well win them both.

Four of the six players behind him in the top 10 have better results in MM events so Davydenko actually gets his ranking because he is one of the best when it counts in the slams and SF, SF, QF, 4R is a set of results all but Djokovic, Nadal and Federer are chasing.

Who care

Last year, he won 5 singles titles (ATP Masters Series Paris, Moscow, New Haven, Poertschach, Sopot) plus Davis Cup.

This year, he enters SF in both Roland Garros and US Open :)

Davydenko in 2007 ~ Henman in 2004 (SF in RG & USO, but w/o any titles)
