Weird score....

Good job!

someone was hungry for some bagels today I guess :) Either that or Nalbandian was in the baking mood ;)

Great job coming back from losing the first set. Was anyone able to see this match? How did he play?

He was asleep than he realize that he was playing.

I watched the scores flash up and Nalby could have won a darn sight easier. He led by a break twice in the first set and lost 4 games in a row before righting himself for what should have been a ruthless victory anyway. Great comeback David! :)

I saw parts of it, and he could have won that first set easily! But he came back, he focused and is in third round now!!!
Vamos David!!!!

Thank god one of my favourite players is still in. Vamos David!!!

he was asleep in the first set, there were 6 or 7 consecutive breaks, he could have won the first set 61 too had he been awake

05-27-2004, 06:41 PM round, i just want your last 3 sets of today, no more the first one.
And please.......wake up early, not everyone will wait you like Falla;)

Yes hella weird score. The stats are even weirder. Falla was serving better than D (at least thats what the stats say), they each had 46 unforced errors  and 5 double faults each. I guess the difference was that Nally won the points on his serve, where as Falla was serving well but couldn't capitalize, seeing as David is the human backboard. Go David!

Yes Clara I was there - way too many unforced errors in the first set - 1st serve percentage was despicable - truly dreadful - and - you all know how much I love David!!! Guess perhaps he knew nothing about Falla and took a while to get his head together - but the last 3 sets were awesome.

Love to all from Paris,

Good for Nalbaldian... he needs to improve his tennis to face Guga...

On the other side, I don't understand how some of you write "Nalbaldian could have won the first set 6-1 to Alejandro Falla", if the score was 5-7... I know that David made mistakes, but the Colombian has a great future and is a strong player (he was number 4 at ITF rankings).

Yeah so many bagels in Paris, more than croissants, I reckon...

Interesting match coming up v. Guga! Hope we get to see some of it... when was the last time Nalby played Guga??

05-29-2004, 10:40 PM
Nalbandian and Guga never played together. I hope David beats Marat so we can see that match! ;)

We will see the match!

I think that the winner between Guga and David will be in the final. (Both would win over Gastón Gaudio and Hewitt).

My thoughs for the final: David/Guga vs. Guillermo. South American!!! ;-)
