I love Soul from the 60's and 70's (especially Motown - Stevie Wonder, Diana Ross, Marvin Gaye; and things like Aretha Franklin). I like music from the 60's in general. I also like Jazz and Reggae. The music I listen to today is Alicia Keys, Erykah Badu, India Arie and The Roots, I sometimes listen to Public Enemy, A Tribe Called Quest, and the Fugees.

I change my interests every so often. I've come off of a long latin music jag, and now I'm getting into more arabic and african popular african music.

Is it???

I would be so happy if you could recommend things to me. :) I'm just getting into this, and there isn't so much selection in the music stores I go to. I'm probably butchering some names so bear with me. Cheb Mami and Ali Farka Toure are two that I really like. Toure is more Mali really than Arabic.

I like.. euhm.. half of Andylover's list... hehe...

No, I will try to sum up my fave music... here we go: Maroon5, John Mayer, Bryan Adams, Coldplay, Travis, Damien Rice, Franz Ferdinand, U2, The Beatles, Silverchair, Incubus, RHCP, Jamiroquai, Stereophonics, 3 Doors Down, 16 Down, Rosemary's Sons, Silkstone, Blof, Kane, Racoon, Our Lady Peace, Goo Goo Dolls, Jason Mraz, Lifehouse, INXS, Alicia Keys, Shea Seger, Norah Jones, Robbie Williams and Keane. That was about it ;). Don't get me started on music, cuz I might never stop again :p...
But above all goes: MATCHBOX TWENTY (of course) :bounce: and K's Choice :worship: (and maybe Maroon5 should be here too.. with the best.. cuz, for a newer band, their gigs just rule and they are such good musicians and entertainers!)
I also have several albums of 80's music, for dancing and stuff ;)

I know Cheb Mami. He's very popular in North Africa and France. I've been to a concert of his once and met him at a party in Paris. I've got my pic taken with him and I was taller lol.
His music is called rai music. Very popular among teenagers. If you like this kind of music you should search for songs by (Cheb) Khaled, Rachid Taha or Faudel. They are big names here.

I don't know if you also like oriental music, but I can suggest you some of that aswell. I can't bellydance as well as Shakira, but I do like the music. It has a great beat.

I assume Radio Tarifa is spanish?

Beachboys make great party music. I defy the dancing not to start when you play the Beachboys.

Another great party album is Exile on Main Street.

I like indie/rock alternative music, a lot of my favourite bands are British or American {a few have already been named}.

I'm also quite into Japanese pop music at the moment. In honesty I have a very varied musical taste really.
