Anyone planning to watch this cult movie? I reckon it will become the most successfull movie of this year. Watch out.

I will first watch it in English then in German. It will be hard to sit in the chair during the movie.

actually the simpsons have a very intellectual humor. that's why so many older people watch the simpsons. i think anyone of us can find himself a bit in one of the simpsons characters. no other comic can level with the simpsons.

Won't be better than Borat, but yeah I'm going.

The Borat film was garbage compared to the episodes, and no, the simpsons is shit.

I was so impatient that I downloaded the movie yesterday... looked forward all day to watch it.... played it... and... well... it was fake. But I'm not definitely going to miss this one.

There is also a Futurama movie in works which I can't wait to come out.

Futurama > Simpsons

Yeah

Also Simpsons > Family Guy

Family Guy isn't even funny. A lot of people I know watch that show and think it's hilarious. I tried watching a few episodes and didn't even laugh. I just don't get it.

Doesn't it bother you watching a film with the voices dubbed?

I just came back from the cinema. Most funniest movie ever and a great story. Just everything was perfect. People laughed every 5 seconds. So many jokes that you can't count them or remember all of them.

You have to watch this movie. I would recommend to watch it more than one time.

Movie of the year 2007 :yeah:

I'm not the only one then, this show is the most overhyped cartoon show out there  Even when I was 12 I found it boring and unfunny. My little brother wants me to take him, I dont want to go :tape:

Normal running time for an animation movie. It is a shitload of work to make an animation movie compared to a normal movie. Don't forget half of this movie is hand-made.

There will be a sequel Matt Groening said.

I didnt like the movie very much. It was just as an ordinary chapter, but only longer. It attacked Harvard, US goverment, France, the ones i remember right now.

TroyMclure (how the fuck do you spell it :haha:) didnt appear in the movie, neither McBein.

Germany counts 1.4 million visitors in the first 3 days. Cinema was nearly sold out yesterday. Remember it was the English version not the German version. That's surprisingly high.

In each street you can see Simpsons posters here. Nearly on each corner.

Some numbers:

- Most successful opening day for an animation movie in Germany
- Most successful opening day of all-time in Chile
- 3rd best opening day of all-time in Australia

It's just not that funny. It has its moments though, it's not nearly as good as the best Simpsons episodes. Not even close.

I never watched it on TV because I could never understand what the characters were saying. In Costa Rica I will have subtitles in Spanish so can read those to see what I can't hear. So I will give it a try. First run movies only cost $2 here in luxury cinemas, so it will not be a big loss. Besides, Costa Rica is otherwise shut down today, to comemmorate capturing a piece of Nicaraguan territory way back then.

:haha: just got back from it.

Really, really funny. All about Homer, an absolute legend. Best moment in the movie when Flanders stands up in church and says "Lord, I have a confession to make", and Homer is sitting there with his fingers crossed in a praying position saying "gay, gay, gay" :rolls:

A couple of brilliant lines, the first 40 mins or so was awesome, then it went through a bit of a lull but still very funny in places. Funniest movie I've seen since Borat.

Btw did anyone stay till the end of the credits? There was some pretty funny stuff right at the end as well :yeah:

I don't know what the connection is between having an ice cold heart and just not being entertained by an hour or so of schoolyard humour.

I don't understand why people haven't figured out that with certain movies you should stay until the end of the credits (usually comedies or other franchises, so to speak).

There were some good sight gags and jokes in this one, it was mostly funny, but it really is just a long episode of the show. It was worth the time and the money, but I won't be going back for a second time.

I'll probably buy it on DVD then never watch it (like about 95% of the DVDs I own. :tape:)

Maybe you don't understand satire? Or you are just too young (Simpsons is made for older people) or you listen too much to dark music.
