I wonder how/why Petzschner was given SE?
I understand Rettenmaier
ATP Rules state:-
1) A player is eligible to receive a Special Exempt into the singles main draw of the following week's Tournament, subject to the provisions of this Section, if he is unable to compete in that qualifying competition because he is still competing on the date the qualifying competition begins in another Qualified Event (Nottingham begins on Sunday), and his current ranking as of the date of the entry deadline would not have otherwise qualified him as a Direct Acceptance on the original Acceptance List if he had entered. In addition, a player who is still playing a match at 9 p.m. on Friday (the Qualifying competition sign-in deadline) is eligible to receive a Special Exempt only if he wins that match.
d) A Qualified Event for Special Exempt to a Challenger Series Tournament is the singles event of an ATP or Challenger Series Tournament within the same geographic region,................. (not Bundesliga!)

Anyway, I wonder why he didn't commit here. His ranking would have been good enough. I think he needs to reach the semifinal at least to have a chance for a US Open quali entry.

Jones - Petzschner 6-2 6-1
:tape: Philipp :tape: Three games.
Jesse actually won :speakles:  But :( Dominik
Poor Rohan and Andis. Changes of surface are never good for the body.
but winning the dubs is very good, esp when Bopanna had to retire in his singles earlier.

aisam will still move up about 10 spots in the rankings to another new career high, and bopanna will move into the top 100 in doubles. i think they are both playing together again next week in spain.

Qureshi has used the entire range of the grass season to improve his rank to unseen heights, but I wonder if he'll manage to keep it on hardcourts and carpet.
Congrats Alun Jones. :)

Yep Aisam will be around 158 or 159 in singles but it could be 150 if he had won the final  .. but still another superb performance by him :worship: . I hope he & bopanna should keep pairing now till US Open ;)

Yeah .. sadly no more grass matches for Aisam .. but hopes he utilize his good form & perform well in comparison to his old record at hardcourts. :rocker2:
