Roger in 3, Gasquet could not possibly have anything left, they are playing at what 12?

Gasquet's fitness is pretty poor, so I doubt that he'll recover in time for an early start tomorrow. Federer in 4 sets

My favorites. This should've been the final...
I hope for a competitive match, so Roger in 4 or 5. Wouldn't mind a Gasquet breakthrough! Gasquet could possibly be the men's Bartoli! :o  :tape: (Justine  )

Federer in 3. Gasquet's tank, both mentally and physically, has to be empty.

Fed should win this in 3. I was wrong with the Andy/Richard match prediction however.

Fed in 3 and someone please get that curse thread going :p.....

Seriously, Gas has THE beautiful backhand to die for. Fed needs to step up very quickly, and I believe to learn from the JC wake-up call he surely will.

Gasquet won't hit winners left and right against Federer. Fed in 3 or 4 if he has another lapse.

Like the Nadal Djokovic match, it had the potential to be a great match but due to the fucked up scheduling/weather it will be a one-sided affair.

Federer in three.

Federer in 3 or 4. Too bad it's not the final.

That would be a great final to watch (granted they were both 100%). Instead, we'll probably have Nadal trying to make it a clay court match.

Federer in 3 sets. At first, he's much better, secondly, Richard will be exhausted, I don't think he'll be able to play normally more of 1 set.

Roger will take this rather comfortably, unless Richard really gets flying. But for me it is a win/win-situation. ;)

Fed in four. Don't know why, but I get this feeling he'll have a brainfart set again, just like today.

The unlikely duo on Final day: Djoko and Gasquet. Is this possible?

I'm hoping Gasquet can rest up--the two players with the most beautiful backhands would be quite a match

With both of them being the outsiders and also coming from long 5 setters today until late, it's a long shot.

Fed needs to outpower Gasquet like he did last year. The problem with Roger is that he has these mental lapses. He needs to serve well, get ahead.I can see him dropping a set as well if he does that.

It is actually very likely if djokovic plays good and gasquet starts where he left off against andy roddick in the quarter final epic.

Very likely?? It's possible of course but not likely.

Fed in 3. He worked off his rust in the last match, played almost perfectly in the last 2 sets.

Federer in 4.

1 set to Gasquet for being high off of today's win, his talent, and the hunger he has for a Major.

Scenario 1: Nadal v. Gasquet = Nadal runs away with the title
Scenario 2: Fed v. Djoko = Fed brings it home
Scenario 3: Fed v. Nadal = Fed wins (a fifth title is too precious to pass up)
= Nadal wins ("I will kill you" stares work again)
Scenario 4: Djoko v. Gasquet = Gasquet wins (balldancing with compatriot Bartoli)

Gasquet played really well against Roddick but Roddick gives you those opportunities to hit well from the baseline. Very few of his BH's or FH's move the opponent, and very few are deep enough to cause worry.

Federer will not give Gasquet easy shots to tee off on. In last year's Wimby, Gasquet had 7 winners against Federer. He will do better than that, but Federer's hitting, defense, and court positioning make it impossible for Gasquet to hit and/or play the way he did against Roddick.

seriously, who whould have thought roddick with his serve would have blown it at 4-2 in the third set.

Roger in 3, this is just a bad matchup for Richard.

I always felt Gasquet had the talent to beat Federer. When he first beat Federer in 2005, he wasn't even in the top 100, I think it was his first match against a top five or maybe even top 10 player, and he had nothing to lose. Since, it's been expectations, and I don't think he's ever had the self-belief to beat him again, although he came damn close in that Toronto final last year.

Both of their finals were tough, the Halle 2R was tough, Gasquet's victory was tough, then two easy victories for Federer, one of which at Wimbledon. Mentality aside, it's an extremely tough match-up for Federer on most surfaces. However, Federer wins 90% of his matches simply by being Federer, and tomorrrow will be no exception. Federer in three, perhaps one tiebreak set.

Tough match up for federer? It's a tough match up for gasquet.
I think Federer wins 90 percent of his matches because he plays well. Period.
