Considering that Rafa is hell motivated and less tired than Nole, I voted for Rafa in 3. :awww:

Mariana_lcf
07-06-2007, 03:24 PM
i want Djokovic to win, and other circumstances i think he would've but... since he played like a 5 hour match today i have to go for Nadal in 3... unfortunatley:(

ezekiel
07-06-2007, 03:26 PM
Nole will of course win in 4 sets but he has to play on main court as he was sliding and slipping too much on that other court. He should just go to bed right now

Baghdatis72
07-06-2007, 03:27 PM
Nadal in 4 as Nole is very tired now after the 5 hour match.

It's kinda a pointless poll......
I don't like to see Nadal to win, but he earned himself this great position to get into the final!

07-06-2007, 03:30 PM
Well... I didn't vote tbh. because you NEVER know with Djokovic, but I think he is too tired and exhausted and I think he is going to lose in 3 or 4 sets. So im giving advantage to Nadal and hope Nole will rest good and regain as much as energy as possible for tomorrow's match.

Nadal in 4, Djokovic is playing great and has the game to trouble Rafa. I expect he might run out of steam though, if there's one guy you don't want to be playing if you're not 100% physically it's Nadal.

Nadal wins this in 3 easy. If Novak had closed out the match against Baggy in 3, I would have given him more of a chance.

Rafa and pretty easily too.

For the first time since the second round, I'm confident that Rafa 'should' win this. Maybe it'll take 4 sets, I would rather he got it done in 3 though...

Nadal 6-0 6-0 6-0
I agree with you that Nadal will beat Djoko, but the 6-0 6-0 6-0 may not be realistic. In the Open era, these 3-set bagels are rare or non-existent. For one, both players are allowed or given changes to serve the ball. I do not think Nadal will break Djoko's serve all throughout the match. This is unthinkable, especially with Djoko, a counter-puncher. A 3-set bagelling is like a TKO in boxing. Djoko will now allow this kind of knock-out, having reached this far in the tournament.

nadal is the favorite in this match as the grass seems to have been slowed down even compared to last year. and the bounce is higher when the weather is good. wimbledon doesn't interest me that much anymore.

it seems to me that wimbledon has been trying very hard to court claycourters.

Three easy sets for Rafa.

Raf is playing GREAT grasscourt tennis, and the Djoker will be extremely tired after his match of today. Any an opponent of Raf's needs to get out on court with full guns blazing, else he's chanceless.

A very level-headed reply to a troll or sarcasm post. Good effort though - but next time don't bother.

Oh God this is a joke Nadal is going to win and make his second Wimbledon final. I swear to God men's tennis is sucking majorly right now---where the fuck is the rest of the tour?

Why is it a joke if Rafa makes it to the final for the second year running, and not a joke if Federer makes it to the final for the umpteenth time? Isn't Rafa number two in the world and seeded second in this tournament? By making it to the semi-final, as he is done now, and if he makes it to the final, is that not what the Wimbledon seeding committee expected. Why can't you be a reasonable tennis fan and applaud Rafa's achievements on a surface no one ever gave him a chance on.
Vamos Rafa!!!!!!

This one is actually pretty tough. I know that most of you all are sure (so it seems) that Nadal will win. But Djokovic has heart, and is extremely mentally tough. Yes, I know Nadal is the epitomy of mentally tough, but Djokovic will not got out easily, and he will play to win. Not just play to compete, as some players seem to do against the top players, even though they will never admit it.

Let just hope the whack jobs that make up the Wimbledon scheduling committe at least have the good sense to make the Nadal-Djojo the 2nd SF.

But I sure there is a "Rule" that states "if a player is extremely exhausted, please put him on court as soon as possible"

Djokovic has a chance in the first set going on adrenaline but after that, he's going to get rolled. He has a good game for Nadal on grass, but not after 10 hours of play.

Nadal by a score of 7-5, 6-3, 6-1

Nadal has spent 13 hours on court while Nole has spent 16.5 hours. However, Nole is in excellent shape and adrenaline should carry him for this match. Stamina will come in play if they reach a 5th set.

I don't even want to think about this one. Djoko would most likely beat Nadal in 3-4 sets if he was completely match fit, but with playing back to back 4+ hour phyiscally and mentally taxing matches, I'm just not sure.
