Those who say that he faked injury can prove that thei argument first and then accuse Djokovic.

He fell down many times and lost way too many points because of those falls. If he was faking to win the match he wouldn't lose all those points. A fake injury which causes the loss of many points and is exploited by the opponent continuously is obviously not fake.

So Djokovic slipped 10 times because the surface is slippery and Hewitt attacked him on the forehand by accident. Also Djokovic looked in pain and fell on that leg to initiate his evil plot of the injury timeouts :haha:

If Hewitt is going to get distracted by a little interruption then clearly he cant win wimbledon as there are constant interruptions due to the rain anyways.

07-05-2007, 04:17 PM
Djokovic might have done this to try to throw Hewitt's rhythm off but, if I'm not mistaken, he did this in the third set which he lost. He didn't win the match through gamesmanship, he won it because he played the bigger points better than Hewitt did.

Obviously these tricks used in many matches are annoying, but on the other hand, his opponents have to get used to it and be mentally tougher, and also not forgetting on warming up during breaks, so it's gonna be irrelevant for them.

I don't like both - this kind of tricks and this kind of excuses.

I don't think his medical timeout didn't affect Hewitt's game even though he lost. he kinda controlled himself quite well, adjusted it no matter what Novak's doing. it was just one unlucky tough match.
and novak said in his interview right after the match finished he didn't intend to take a timeout to break any Hewitt's rhythm or something like that.

The medical timeout, if you feel even the slites pain, is allowed so nothing to comment.
Besides, he lost that set and won 3 tiebreaks playing better than Hewitt when needed, so completely deserved win. He is better player than Hewitt at this moment and that`s it.

He used to do it a lot but not anymore. He is human after all and he will get injured once in a while. I believe that he grew out of the repetitive injury time outs now and he gets them only when he really needs them because of an injury.

If he was faking Hewitt wouldn't have any weaknesses to exploit as he did after all ;)

"...
The third set (featuring the briefest of rain breaks at 1-1) began as if it were a formality, especially when at 3-2 Djokovic forced an error for break point. But Hewitt saved it, and in the next game the Serbian fell painfully on the turf, skidding almost to the splits and jarring his back. It threw his game off balance. Hewitt gained break points for 4-3 and converted, bellowing his glee. Djokovic saw the set go, and belatedly called for the trainer.

But in the fourth he was still not moving as well as before. Hewitt’s chances to break were coming thick and fast. At 1-2, Hewitt converted, but then disastrously committed a string of errors to gift it right back. Djokovic was grabbing further treatment from the trainer in the one minute changeover, and fighting off Hewitt’s every break opportunity, as if knowing that he could not last a fifth set. He even had chances of his own. At 4-4 Hewitt breached Djokovic’s defences – but unbelievably gave it back again for 5-5.

In the tiebreak Djokovic stretched away, marking his superiority with a 23-stroke rally that culminated in a stunning backhand to give him 4-0, leaving Hewitt lying helpless on his back. And that, figuratively speaking, was where he was forced to stay. Djokovic needed three match points but a first Wimbledon quarter-final was his."

hi slut how are you, yes of course fakevic could take cocain and that little dosis ephedrine like Maradona did and the small diuretic quantity found in Canas body but it should be a waste of time ,coz those substances should not improve his performance, try to get better informed jackass before posting bullshit

read Maradona and Canas cases carefully

btw i recommend Fakevic should keep employing his current tricks, since he has been getting great results so far with that, and the most important nobody will do any about it so he can get away on the other hand if he doped to take sportadvantage he should get suspended

Guys, you know what? I agree with Returnwinner! Nole should work on his sportmanship...he should take a bit of dope like Canas and his fellows...that would make him great sportsman!
Isnt it strange that someone from "Maradona - the god's hand" country is complaining on sportmanship. Especially when players from that country are divided in two groups:
1) the ones that are using dopping
2) the ones that are not caught using it...YET

Let the babies cry, it is even more interesting this way :)

btw this has nothing to be related with nationality as you are pointing
that is a typical attempt to hurt somebody when lacking arguments

Djokovic risked more and he won . Hewitt was too static in important moments .

That is the truth exactly. You aren`t going to beat a player like Djokovic approaching important points as a wimp, batting backhands into the net as Lleyton did. He has only himself to blame for the loss.

I am sorry but I cant take your posts seriously cause it is obvious you are influenced by some "chemical substances" like the players from your country

p.s. After lectures Returnwinner gave us about sportmanship, he sat back in his chair, turned on his VCR, and enjoyed that Maradona's "sportsman" goal against England once again

No excuses. Hewitt choked in the fourth set and made some terrible errors in the tie break. Tie-breaks are lotterry and novak won those lotteries. They pretty much evenly matched. Also Novak got lucky with challenges. One or two points changed the match. I don't care weather Novak's injury is real or fake. bottom line he won and i'm not really bothered by whatever "alleged" tactics he used.

A fine header straight from the coaching manual. What's not to enjoy about that goal?
