A quite brilliant display from the Brits, especially Mel South :hatoff:

Probably one of the top 3 best matches at Wimbledon this year as well, awesome stuff :yeah:

Missed it unfortunately, and they only gave it about 10 seconds of coverage on Today at Wimbledon. :(

Nice to see Jamie Murray and Jelena Jankovic win their match as well. :)

Jamie/Jelena looked horrible at times, but they were smiling away anyway. It was pretty obvious it was the first time they'd played together, they clashed a few times and both left balls expecting the other to get it  Plus Jamie was all over the net and Jelena stayed back on every ball. I'd like to see them go far.

Today was quite a good day for the Brits, quite a few won in juniors as well :)

I have no problem with mens doubles but anyone who watches mixed needs to have another look in the mirror.

Excellent match and great performance from Alex and Melanie. They could really use this as a stepping stone in the mixed doubles.

Your favourite player is Ivan Ljubicic, you have no right to criticise anyone about the type of tennis they enjoy watching :spit:

Yea this coming from a guy who has a Rafa poster in his room and enjoys watching a guy who main goal on the court is to see how quickly he can hit the moon with his shots.

Great match from the Brits - it was very unusual to see Lisa Raymond get so tight and error-strewn at the end there, missing several volleys and double-faulting to drop her serve.

The Brits did very well to hold their nerve and both produced some excellent tennis and combined well.

Some very entertaining rallies also - a fun match though it can't have been that fun to play - it looked COLD

Another good result to back that up, and into the quarters they go.

Got a bit tight towards the end there, though, leading 5-2 and then broken and Wassen/Chan nearly held for 5-4 - that would have been interesting. But they found a way to get it done in the end.

Murray/Jankovic vs Knowle/Yan was a VERY tough match this morning - I thought the Brit/Serb pair had blown it when they had a break right through the second set, lost it while serving for the match, then lost the tiebreak. But they regrouped and managed to get it done in a tough third set.

Great effort from those two. Jankovic has caught on quickly - in their R1 match she stayed back for a lot of it and only approached the net to volley more at the end. This time she played much more net tennis and her groundstrokes are, of course, superb.

Thanks for the report :yeah:

Didn't see the match today, but they looked totally dysfunctional yesterday. Glad to hear they looked better today :)
