Nadal: the player vs. the person

Ok, I'm a Fed fan and I hate Nadal, his hideous looping forehand, his fist pumping, ass picking delaying tactics.
But when I see him interviewed I'm struck by what a down to earth, shy, gentle, nice guy he is. So I guess I can't hate him too much.

I have met his family and believe me, he is lucky to have such a perfect group of people around him. They are the farthest away possible from dysfunctional that I have ever seen.
This is why he is so likable.

He is definitely a different person off court, it can be seen in how close he is to his family. He is very likeable off court, and anyone who says otherwise just despises him period.

He seems very nice. I heard the reason he doesn't break rackets is out of respect for the people who cannot afford to buy one themselves. Not many players think like that.
