Are They Still Going Ahead Wednesday With Federer's Quaterfinal Match?

I hope not, because there are still some 3rd round and many 4th round matches that need to be finished (including Nadal's STILL unfinished 3rd round match which is pathetic of Wimbledon officials), but Federer said in an interview that he's just hitting balls everyday and making sure he's ready to play again on Wednesday after such a long rest period since Friday. So do you think they'll move his match until Thursday, or do you think they'll actually finish the rest of the 3rd and 4th round matches Wednesday and then start his game also on the same day?

Who cares about Nadal? He could play 10 matches in the same day for all I care.

He's not scheduled for Wednesday. It would totally idiotic for him to play his qrt match when two 3rd round matches are still unfinished.

Ah, but a MTF thread wouldn't be complete without Glenn posting some pointless negative comment. Maybe if he said something constructive or even tried to post a rational argument more people would take him off their ignore list.

But back to the topic, it seems like Federer's match is still set for Wednesday. Man, the scheduling this year is all messed up. I'm not really sure if it's an advantage or a disadvantage for Federer. But what we can be sure of is that everyone in the draw will definately have to play loads of matches to win so they'll all be in hard conditions, and the winner will really have earned it.

Oh, the almighty voice of the person nobody cares about in MTF. :worship:

I'm talking about the poster.

I do care about Nadal, he's ruining the sport, I want him out.

Yeah, though when I saw the schedule earlier today, it said that the top half of the quarters will be played Wednesday, and the bottom half on Thursday. But maybe I'm wrong or they've changed it.

Ahhhhhh! This is too confusing.

Well coming from a Soderling fan, I'm not surprised.

But that wasn't what I needed an answer for if you'd read my question thoroughly.

It's a online tennis message board. If I didn't have the respect of everyone on here, I think I could go about my life just fine. By the way, why do your arguments sound like a three-year-old?

It seems not, unless of course they change their minds some time tomorrow.

No Roger tomorrow. He should be on Thursday.

It looks like the men's semis will be Saturday though.

That's a relief. It's funny how it'll be almost a week since Roger played his last match.

I figured it'd be on Sunday. As long as the semis and final aren't BOTH on Sunday (which I wouldn't put it past Wimbledon officials the way things are going!), I'm good, haha!

They could be so silly to potentially have Federer in the semis before Gasquet has even finished his 3rd round

Although it is the AELTC :tape:

Not possible. No quarter finals would be played until all quarter finalists are decided. Since Fed/Fererro is the only QF set in the top half they have to wait until the others are decided. That's why no one else in Sharapova's quarter is playing tommorrow, because she & Venus haven't finished their 4th round yet.

Roger is now scheduled to play on Thursday. This whole tournament has sucked with the rain delays! I have hardly gotten to see Roger play at all! And have barely seen any of the other interesting men's matches. The worst Wimbledon I can remember!

who cares about rafa? this isn't clay and he doesn't have a weak ass draw like last year, look at the trouble he is having against a master choker at the moment, imagine the ****** Youzny would give him if and thats a big "IF" Rafa makes it thru his 3rd round match.

on to the real grass court players..

That semifinal of Roger vs andy is looking quite nice
