It's been six months (hasn't it flown by!)

Your verdict on the last six months.

I was hoping Murray would get off to a flying start and WOW! he did with some awesome playing, he had no points to defend during the clay season but what a disaster and out of Wimbledon. The Brits performing badly a Wimbledon was not a surprise even though if you read the press you would think it hasn't happened before and it came as a shock.

I am glad Fed's dominance was shaken a little it's boring going into tournaments knowing who the winner is, using the same argument I am glad he beat Nadal at Hamburg.

Djokovic has come of age - I am not sure if he can keep it up I think he might decline a little in the latter part of the year but he will still be top 10 and most likely top 5.

I wanted Tim to start this year as he ended last (with some positive results not the injury) but not to be - my big wish is for the second part of this year he finds his game and confidence I also think he should play Newport.

For the next six months I want Murray to get back into the race top 8, Britain to be Croatia at Davis Cup.

Biggest disappintment - having Centre court tickets last Sat and it just rained and rained and rained - the full refund doesn't make up for the disappointment.

Anyone else want to share their thoughts?

Erm... Glad Fed won Aus Open, but Gonzo disappointed me in the final. I thought it was going to be a cracker. How wrong was I!?

Disappointed that Piggy won Roland Garros, but he is truly awesome on clay. And I'm warming to him a bit because of his improvement in volleying and he seems to be taking less time between points.

Wimbledon's barely started, but Tim, you had a 'mare!

Nothing terribly shocking yet, good to see the likes of Murray, Djokovic, Mahut, Tipsy and Moya, amongst others, having a good year (obviously excluding the injury for Murray). Dissapointing for Haas and Henman so far - bloody injuries!

As a fan mainly of Lleyton Hewitt it's been encouraging but Queens was dissapointing and the rain at Wimby... I'm still excited about the rest of the year for Lleyton, 1 step at a time - hopefully he'l beat Canas on Monday (providing the rain stays away).. Cmon Rusty!!

After Lleyton I follow Roddick, Nadal and a few others so I'm glad to see them doing well. I know that Roddick would love to win the Davis Cup so I'm glad the US are doing well, nervous about Aus -v- Serbia. I'm hoping that a week from now I'll be congratulating Hewitt or Roddick but obviously Rog and Raf are the favourites, mainly Roger of course.

On the womens side of things I'm happy for Ivanovic, but this is the MensTennisForum.

US Open is special to me and I know that it's a bit away yet but after Wimby the excitement will really start to grow.

What were you expecting and did it happen?

Expected more Boggotards in the challenger forum and it didn't happen.
Expected fixed draws for Del Potro (Federer, Nadal.... blah blah) and it did happen.

What was the best thing to happen and your biggest disappointment

Breakthrough of Tsonga - honestly happy about it. Felix Mantilla back to tennis, unbelievable, but true...
Korolev and Giraldo are disappointing me, I was hoping for tearing off the tour.

Who has impressed you?

Shahar Peer. I know she's from WTA, but I more or less know ATP players so far and I didn't know she's so good. She earned a fan.

Who has disappointed you?

James Blake for being such a Disney's fanboy. Kapranos for getting himself defaulted from Arse Clown Contest.

Biggest disappointment so far: Gonzo for he hasn't played upto his real potential he showed us with that run at AO.

Next comes Murray, but I do feel he'll do better in the second half of the year.

Great moments in the first six months: Nadal 3-peats all of his 4 tourneys on clay.

Most improved player: Nole

It sucks that no deserving successor to Federer has yet shown up, and I hope Novak improves to the point he surpasses Nadal.

I forgot to add Gonzo talking about how he now builds points - then watching him play and seeing all he was doig was slicing backhands until the right opportunity came up - disappointing.
