Great, those of us not on the East Coast will be totally screwed because of the freaking Today Show

I've gotten used to NBC screwing tennis fans over, so I bit the bullet and paid the $25 for the live online coverage. I think it's worth it.

NBC is almost always heavily taped coverage... don't be shocked to see a set and a half of a match on espn, then coverage switch to NBC and have them show the match from the start once again

And then again on the later spot of espn.

Actually, usually NBC will just buy the rights to a particular match, and ESPN won't be able to show it at all, even though it will be live during ESPN's time slot and taped during NBC's. :fiery: :banghead:

I'm in California next week...so when will the coverage actually be? Delayed after the Today Show?

This is so confusing, I'm used to easy EST time  So ESPN won't show tennis, NBC will be showing the tape delayed matches?

ESPN will be on early for that first block, from 4-7am or whatever, then nbc will be on from 10-1. espn2 will be on from 10-2 but from 10-1 will be preempted if it is like the last 2 years that i have lived out here, at 1 it should come back . whatever nbc shows will be exactly the same as it showed everyone else 3 hours before and we will lose 3 hours of espn's coverage

This is the one week a year I hate living in California :p

Ohhhhh okay, got it. Sorry about all my confusion.

That is completely ridiculous. Do people seriously care that much about the Today Show? lol. I never realized that I've been lucky to be on the East Coast during Wimbledon coverage, until now.

Thanks Deb :)

apparently they do care but hell if I know why  I just wonder why NBC bothers. On Thursday and Friday it's even better :haha: NBC's coverage is at 1pm eastern, so that'd be 10am Pacific, i.e. there'd be no problem with the today show and they could just air it at 10am simultaneously with the east coast, but instead, the local LA syndicate is showing a repeat of the Martha Stewart Show AND an hour of LOCAL news and starting tennis at noon pacific. Just classic :haha:

Martha Stewart!? Are you kidding me!? I can't believe I have to be in California this particular week. The only thing NBC manages to do is wreck what should be the best tennis coverage of the year.
