In the game, participants pick the winners of all main draw matches and are placed in a knock-out system. That means each participant plays a different participant and whoever predicted the winner of most matches correctly, moves on to the next round. The same applies for doubles, but you're in a team format and your scores are combined.
Note:
- In case of a tie, a tie-breaker will decide who moves on to the next round.

- In case a player (i.e. the actual ATP Player) retires in a match, this match will be counted as long as one point has been played. If players are replaced by a lucky loser after the start of Tennis Tipping, these matches will be cancelled.

Just post here that you would like to play. You can only play one tournament per week. Entries will be based on ranking. Everyone can commit. :D

How to send in picks:
Picks can be sent in as soon as the draws are ready. Remember, you pick a winner in every match! Picks should be sent by PM, so that your opponent does not know your picks. Picks should be titled: [TT: Los Angeles, day #] or whatever you want. Picks can be sent in anytime until the beginning of play each day. If you're still in both singles & doubles, you use the same tips for both. For doubles, you still tip the ATP singles matches, not the doubles! No changes can be made after the play has started.

I've updated all the entry lists on the first page, and in singles there are now 5 alts, so I would advise some of the lower alts to withdraw :wavey:
Also I won't be here from Friday to Sunday afternoon so would it be possible if someone ran the qualie tournament and made the draws?? I would be able to make the main draws on sunday. I know the original assistant manager was Jeronimo but since he is possibly in the qualie draw, maybe it would be better if someone else took over.

I appreciate your explanation, yemok, and Gavnich77 and Gaynor's effort ... I'm pissed too.
#1 I guess first pissed at the rules that let someone commit 28 hours before qualies begin ... without becoming a LE and bumping a team down without warning to the bumped team. Page 1 STILL hasn't been updated to bumps GlennMirny and I down to QD. C'mon!
#2 But more pissed that lack of info on the front page. This is the first TT I've not seen draws, OOPs, and "current" MD and QD. Not seeing -- yesteday afternoon and this morning -- the OOP and draw on Page 1, I believed that play would begin Sunday. Nope. So, I'm out of both S/D.

No, you're not the only one Donny. If I had been bumped to the qualies late like that I wouldn't have known. I often rely on the updates in the first posts because I can't deal with all the posts all day and don't have time to read them all most of the time, especially since there are so many scoring-esque posts in a lot of the TT threads. I'm on the US west coast and when tourneys are in europe, by the time I wake up play has been going on for several hours and there's no way I can catch up :shrug:
What might be a good idea is, when the manager is away, to ask one of the tourney forum moderators or supermoderators (preferably one like bad gambler or belco who actually plays TT and understands it all, I suppose) to edit the posts on the first page if the manager is not around. i'm sure they would be happy to do it if they were told exactly what to put and in which post. :)

Great management! :rolleyes: If the manager can't update in time, then close the period of commitment before. No problems playing qualies, the problem is being warned 30 minutes before it.

I appreciate your explanation, yemok, and Gavnich77 and Gaynor's effort ... I'm pissed too.
#1 I guess first pissed at the rules that let someone commit 28 hours before qualies begin ... without becoming a LE and bumping a team down without warning to the bumped team. Page 1 STILL hasn't been updated to bumps GlennMirny and I down to QD. C'mon!
#2 But more pissed that lack of info on the front page. This is the first TT I've not seen draws, OOPs, and "current" MD and QD. Not seeing -- yesteday afternoon and this morning -- the OOP and draw on Page 1, I believed that play would begin Sunday. Nope. So, I'm out of both S/D.
