Hasn't lost serve yet so I'm assuming he's in good form. Tsonga will be very tough though.

Ridiculous draw when it comes to frenchmen

Tsonga - Benneteau
Mahut - Clement
Gasquet - Mahut
Gasquet - Roger-Vasselin
Gasquet - Tsonga coming up next

hilarious

You wanna know what else is funny?
Nando's just started to build some resistance against A-Rod and serves for the set. If he wins it (not likely) and loses to Mathieu (see above) or if A-Rod loses to Mathieu (it rather won't happen), then we have all-French show in the quarters, which means there will be a Frenchman in the semis ;)

If he was going to make his breakthrough at a Slam this will be a very good time to do so. He's been playing very well so far and I hope he keeps it up until the QFs at least.

Despite what Wimbledon thinks, the V is capitalized.

Gasquet playing great tennis. Next match with Tsonga should be excellent. Is Richie ready to break through?

Nice going, Gasquet. Keep it up for a while and make use of this section. :yeah: It's about time he's getting a result again.

He was unfortunate last year getting Federer in the first round. At least now he's making the best of the draw.

Nothing unusual. They played juniors together and practised a lot together so they are very good friends. :p

I know Richard was "precocious", but ERV is much older than him, did they really play the same Juniors events?
They are from the same club (PJB) and were indeed roommates when they were both playing Futures.

Tsonga is a good friend of Richard too, so we might have another "unusual" hug at the end of the next match. Many guys of the Gasquet-Monfils-Tsonga generation are pretty good friends - and all those guys also have a lot of respect for Richard who always was kicking their ass so badly in the Junior events in France. Not only he's a better player, but he has a big mental edge on them imo.

That's what ERV said, I think. Maybe it was at the start of Gasquet's junior career and the end of ERV's.

OK, I checked it out. Gasquet started in 1999 and ERV ended in 2001. :p
