Havent seen any of them play at Wimbledon but I'd say Tsonga in 4

funny though, Gasquet is going much better since richie21 is gone from MTF

Gasquet hopefully, but Tsonga is very hot right now and has the weapons to smear Richard all over the court.

If Gasquet plays his best, which is saying a lot, he should beat Tsonga, but whether or not he'll play well...Pfft...beats me.

Gasquet will win unless he loses the first set because then he will give up.

I think Gasquet will win, but Tsonga won't be pushed over.

I also think that if it goes to 5, the edge lies with Tsonga.

Not really. Gasquet has problems against Andy's serve so I expect Andy to win in 3. If Andy has his customary lapses then Andy in 4.

Tsonga is on fire and can take the weak-minded Gasquet down....either should be an entertaining match for Roddick next round.

Tsonga reminds me of a better version of Monfils. It's kinda weird because he seems more talented than Monfils, I just don't understand why his results are so bad. But the good think is that he is still 22.

Ps: for the french speaking people: vous avez remarqué comment les commentataires de canal plus faisait des blageus sur Ljubicic tout au long de la journée? Ils l'on't mème comparé avec snoopie le chien :rolls: .

He has struggled with injuries, that's why he hasn't achieved much.

Tsonga has a very good chance as Richie doesn't usually fare too well against serve-volley.

That said, if Richie replicates the form he showed against Mahut (and he played GREAT tennis) then you'd expect him to find a way to get by.

Really looking forward to this match.

Richard in 3, even it will be difficult for him to break
Tsonga's play is impressive, he has a very good serve, and won a lot of points on his first serve.

Tsonga and Gasquet know themselves for a while, having trained and played each other lots of times since they are 11/12 y-o. Gasquet won all their encounters but only Tsonga and Montcourt were being able to tighten him a few times. Though Gasquet has always had the mental edge, which could be a factor there.

Jaffas85

Tsonga should prolly win as he'll prolly be able to make a QF against Roddick a contest while Gasquet tends to wilt away under the power hitters.

So where ahs this Tsonga been!? I saw him play Roddick in Australia but otherwise why has he been cursed with injuried so much? Has he just not been looking after himself properly?

What the Australian Open this year his first Grand Slam?

What the Australian Open this year his first Grand Slam? No, it wasn't his first GS, he lost (very badly) to Roddick in RG 2 years ago.
The first time most people heared of him was in Bercy 2004. There was a lot of talk about him and Monfils at the time.

But that's about it, the rest of the time he has either been injured or played Challengers (and even Futures, he went shortly back to Future events at the beginning of the year because he wasn't even winning matches in Challengers).

As for his injuries, I don't think it is because he isn't looking after himself properly, it really seems to be bad luck, he had a slipped disc (then a problem with the knee, then the shoulder, then the other shoulder...)

Back in 2004 he beat Moya in Beijing when he was still top 10. It was his first ATP level tournament I believe.

Gasquet, and probably easily. He's got more experience not just for tennis in general, but grass court play. He's fucked up many 4r encounters before, but I doubt he fucks up this one. He'll lose next round to Roddick though. His position in the draw was both good and bad :p.

Gasquet doesn't cope that well with power, and Roddick will probably beat him in straight sets because of that. Tsonga is more likely to give Roddick a longer match...I think he could even beat him, as ludicrous as this might sound to a few of you.
