Actually, only after Nole left Riccardo Piatti (Ljubicic's coach) for Marjan Vajda - and that happened about a year ago - he truly developed as a player. Piatti's work was 90% wrong (can you imagine he forbid him to play backhand DTL?!) and Nole was a mere training partner for Ljubicic.

Of course, it's all but understandable that a coach WON'T develop a talented opponent to his main guy under the same roof, but still.

Fahren...Just two quick points, and then I'll stop. NEVER use wikipedia as a definitive source of proof. Why? Because ANYONE can edit it as they see fit. Second, if you do use it as a "source", here is one quote from the article there, Despite the evidence of widespread killings, siege of Sarajevo, mass rapes, ethnic cleansing and torture conducted by different Serb forces which also included JNA (VJ), elsewhere in Bosnia, especially in Prijedor, Banja Luka and Foča, as well as camps and detention centers, the judges ruled that the criteria for genocide were met only in Srebrenica or Eastern Bosnia.[4] However, the world's highest court concluded that the crimes, such as mass killing, rapes, detention, destruction or deportations, committed during the 1992-1995 war, are also "acts of genocide" according to the Genocide Convention, but could not be qualified as genocide.[5] The Court further decided that, following Montenegro's declaration of independence in May 2006, Serbia was the only Respondent party in the case, but that "any responsibility for past events involved at the relevant time the composite State of Serbia and Montenegro

Let's just be thankful that our sport of tennis allows for bridge building, and that players can display class and dignity...where often fans (like at the Aussie Open) fail to understand these two terms.

Piatti developed Djokovic. Vajda had all the work done already.

I have given a proviso "Search for the other sources yourself", haven't I? Besides, the number of 200,000 Bosniak victims is blatantly overblown, which can be checked against various official sources.

And regarding Piatti's genius, suffice it to say Nole took his first title almost the moment he split ways with him, and took five of those since (i.e. in about 12 months time).

Yea, Gramps should really stick with his Ćelavi Činovnik, they deserve each other ;) And Nole should take advice from people who know their tennis, e.g. Mark Woodforde :)

so what he learned from Piatti, it worked right away, and at that time did anyone expect Novak to do much? nobody did he was still up and coming. and as much as you want to make it sound Ivan and Novak hate each other, they're really good friends.

Who ever spoke about Nole's and Ćelavi Činovnik's friendship or the lack of it  The fact is that Piatti was a bad coach for Nole, he was stagnating with him. (He learned much more about tennis as a teen from Niki Pilić.)

His play WITH Piatti and WITHOUT Piatti are two completely different stories. And you're free to interpret the fact any way you want.
