Again, if he wasn't coming off such a long layoff, I would definitely have gone with Haas over Tursunov, and a very good match against (I assume) Federer in the following round.

Why would he fake and lose his SF points at Halle? Hes being cautious which is fair enough when it concerns the shoulder which put him out for 2 years.

I've didn't read any of his press conferences, but I doubt he flatout said he wouldn't play.

IIRC Tommy never said that. It was his father who said that he probably wouldn't play Wimbledon.
