I enjoyed watching him play...only time I saw him live was the Nottingham Open 2005. He had a nice game, and he certainly wasn't boring - personality-wise!

Good luck in life, Kenneth. :yeah:

I'm disappointed. I would have liked to see Carlsen improve on that incredible record of most 1st round losses at grand slam events. That record will stand forever!!

What a legend. I saw the Great Dane a couple times and he was immensely entertaining.

My greatest memory of him was seeing him at Washington last year. Now the Legg Mason draws a huge number of Thai fans who while being nice and very supportive of the tournament have an annoying habit of clapping huge inflatible thunder sticks and yelling that you can hear through the whole complex. Kenneth drew Udomchoke and Paradorn in a row in his first two matches. Naturally me and my two friends have to support the Great Dane. Kenneth proceeds to stirring victory over both players, pointing to us and making goofy gestures and faces to his only fans while doing so.

My other memory of him while not as stirring was him yelling for over a minute at a fan who walked up to the court and threw something out in the trash can by his changeover chair at the US Open. Great stuff.

I saw Carlsen beat Wayne Ferreira in a rundown shithole of an indoor stadium in Odense, DK during the 2004 Davis Cup with 2000 cheering fans...Great stuff.

Thanks for 17 years of memories, Kenneth, and good luck.

That's bad news. I love to see Kenneth play Tennis.

One tournement i can rember me, was Wimbledon 1994, when he beat Stefan Edberg on Center Court, one day later he had to quit his game against Bjorman, because off illness...

Kenneth is absolutely a great sports man. After deciding to retire in October he has promised the Danish Tennis Federation to play the Davis Cup relagation match against Estonia in July despite being out of the team for 4 years. Thank you Kenneth.....!!!

....and he is one of the few who has a positive head-to-head statistics against Federer!

Only victories against Federer - that's a nice way to finish your career....
