I'm surprised Guga was in the draw, I really don't think he's going to play in Rome after he had to retire in his match against Gaudio yesterday. I guess that will mean that Costa gets to play a lucky loser.

Where are Nalbandian and Safin in the draw, that's what I want to know. It's been more than three hours since it was made, what's preventing them posting it?

Nalby is at the very bottom of Roger's half...Safin is in the 3/4 quarter where the seed is Henman...

Saffy is in the bottom and Roger could meet David in the semis. Rainer his is in David's qrt. Moya is at the bottom too.

I hope Guga takes the best possible decision! Health comes first! If he feels he has to rest his hip, he definitely shouldn't play!

Mrs. B Roger lost in RG because of Roger and his issues. Horna was merely there.

Roger will make sure not to lose to Horna again. And i'm sure he'll be better prepared for RG this time. ;)

Roger thought too far ahead. He had no mental pacing for the event. He had no concept of it. Roger doesn't have those issues anymore. He should be fine in every slam event now.

Just checked the doubles draw, and Roger/Yves are in there as a wildcard team, but have quite a difficult path ahead of them.

I was at the tournament to day in the afternoon and I could see Roger training with two other players I did not know. It was about five o'clock, it went on until six. Pierre Paganini was with him. On the side of the ground there was Peter Lundgren, may be waiting for Marat training. They were very friendly and Roger, going away, shecked his hand warmly. Of course, it was wanderful to see him playng alive. I was very near to the ground, there were few people because the training took place in the central court and people was watching at qualifications. I could'nt believe it. At the end he signed some autographs. He looked in a good shape, running a lot and doing some good shots. I will be there for his first match.

Since he's not on the list for Monday vene, then he must be playing Tuesday, but we won't know when until they post the order of play Monday afternoon/evening.

Rogifan there is no need to worry. Roger should be fine. He has been training for this and the further he goes the stronger he gets and is tougher to stop. Roger should go far here. Costa and Alex are not what they once were and Roger is stronger than ever before. He should get past them and Verkerk or Todd or Mikhail. I saw the match, and Roger wasn't playing that well. He was slipping a lot on his serve, falling foward after serving which causes faults. It was very windy, and the clay was very slippery. But Bjorkman made a lot of errors, so Roger kinda got lucky there.

Let's hope he will play better next round... is it tomorrow? :)

Roger isn't feeling too great about his win. He has a huge test tomorrow. I just hope he doesn't put any stock into his feelings. He had bad session on the practice courts in Houston and that didn't mean shit to him so I hope he takes the same approach here mentally. Stay postive Roger and don't throw your blade down this time. I just hope the courts aren't slippery and Roger can play his game with no fear. I'm surprised he isn't feeling comfortable here since he is great on these courts and had plenty of time to prepare. I just hope my fears are laid to rest tomorrow.

If Rogi played well but Costa got the better of him, I don't think he will get that annoyed. It's the easy shots to finish up points, couple of them at breakpoints if I remember correctly, and he mishit those shots like crazy. I think that what grates his nerves the most. His net game was superb though, so I was wondering whether he has been training his serve/volley game during the break and his groundstrokes suffer a bit because of it. I know his net game was not that sharp before the break.
