Great draw, SF is near...

Scotso

It's a good draw, not a great one. Youzhny worries me quite a bit... but he's not as great on clay. And Berdych/Verdasco are always capable of going on a major run... but hopefully Nole will make the SF at least.

I'm glad he's on Federer's side instead of Rafa's.

Not a perfect draw, but a decent one. :)

I'm ok with it. good luck Nole.

I think this draw is nearly perfect. Nieminen is the second best clay-courter in this quarter, says I.

a very good draw for a change , some dangerous players but Nole is favourite and a potential semi against RF. I think he is chasing Roddick for the 4th seed and I think SF will do it but I am not sure

Better draw than usual, for sure ;) I like him in Fed's half. Berdych is a bit scary, but Verdasco really doesn't bother me much. I don't have faith on him making major runs anymore.

Nole is pretty self-confident before the start of the tournament which imo is a very good sign!if he believes in himself and if he thinks that he`s found his best game for clay then i believe it,too!:worship: AJDE NOLEEEEEEE!!!We all know that you can do it!!!;)

Too bad Monaco lost  he was so close.

I'm annoyed that Nole probably won't get to play today. That means Nadal and Federer will have a big edge. I bet they would still let the two of them play their next matches on center court tomorrow.... maybe even before the other players finish this round.

Better to go to bed late than play two matches in one day.

I just get so frustrated that this never happens to Federer and Nadal. They're never the ones to get the raw deal.

I think that if it rains tomorrow they'll move Nole to the big court and delay Federer and Nadal's matches. It'd be stupid to let them play before the 2nd round is completed.

Scotso
05-16-2007, 06:40 PM
Well the organizers are often stupid, so I think they would let Nadal and Federer play. It's obvious that every tournament wants them as the final two... so they would do what they needed to do to insure that.

Congrats Nole! :D I wish it had been a bit easier, but not too bad. Now he needs to go out there and win his second match. :D

have you ever watched snooker,Scott?it`s a game pretty similair to billiard,in Europe we play snooker...so there used to be a player,my favorite player-Paul Hunter(he died last October at the age of 28!) who during the short breaks they have between the sessions in their matches(one snooker match can last for hours!!!) was "making love" with his wife and he used to say that this is the thing that rests his body and brain best!as much as i know Jelena isn`t in Hamburg with Novak but i believe that Paul Hunter left a lot to world`s sport and his advice should be used by many other players in all kinds of sports!!!

P.S.we`ll never forget you Paul!!!because the good people never get forgotten!!!!:worship: :worship: :worship:

They have to give him some rest. The original OOP said Novak's second match wouldn't be until 4pm. At least this way he knew exactly how much time he had to take a rest.

I don't think the scoreboard was helping any. They still had the score from Acasuso's first match up when the first set was over in his second. :rolls: So at a quick glance I'm sure it looked like Acasuso's first match had just finished :)
