more questions about Bundesliga
1) Is EVERY player from team forced to play at least one match for his team or such rule does not exist?
2) Do any prize money exist?
3) Is there any extra money for better players (f.e. Mayer, Andreev, Youzhny) for playing matches ?
Thx in advice for responces

1) No. There's only a rule that players from the Cincy/Montreal entry lists are not allowed to play Bundesliga in those 2 weeks.
3) They all have individual contracts with their teams. I don't know how much they get per match or extra money for wins, but I read that top players can get up to 10000 € per day. Surely there must be a reason for Nieminen and Youzhny to play.

It was a tactic by Krefeld's captain. He knew that Düsseldorf would play with the strong doubles Rochus/Vik on position 2, while Guzman/Portas wold play on position 1. So he replaced Ferreiro with André, so that his strong doubles Hemmes/van Scheppingen would play on position 1 against Guzman/Portas. They already led 3-1 and needed only one more point.

JMG
08-14-2007, 12:03 PM
If Reutlingen plays 3-3 vs Solingen and Neuss loses, then Neuss will go down to the second league. That's why Neuss will try to get the best possible team. An article from Monday says that Daniel, Cipolla and Petzschner will play for sure, the forth player should be Granollers-Pujol or Summerer.

There is no way there were 1200 people in Neuss today :tape: Maybe half of that.
Flavio played quite poorly against Pfeiffer :o :o But I have to say that André, Lesic and especially Pfeiffer are all pretty decent players  Pfeiffer has a good serve and can whack the forehand. In the first set he was also very consistent; hardly any errors. Flavio struggles against players like that, so it was no surprise that on an off-day he was almost defeated. Then Pfeiffer made more mistakes in the second set and Flavio was just better in the match tb.
Daniel was quite good in singles; Lesic has a big forehand if he wants to  He just whacks the ball and it resulted in a couple of applauses from Daniel.
The Krefeld team seemed to be enjoying themselves, so that was good. Bohli didn't seem part of the Neuss team :tape: He was there, but got little support and wasn't hanging out with other players.
