Is this 'stupid'?

Let's assume you're sitting in the car while your car gets washed. You know that if you open the window water would come in but you do it anyway to convince yourself that it actually does happen.

I don't expect any decent replies by the way. Try seeing the philosophical aspect of this. When we're told by everybody something would be bad, is it stupid to try it out anyway? How much do we trust majority and scientific proof?

If you're on the way to a job interview, it's very stupid.

If you haven't showered yet that day, it might make sense.

I think there should be a movie about this. That's so 'Mr. Bean'!

Well, if you're a real conformist, it's the most stupid thing you can do.
If you're more of a revolutionary, you have to do this.

If you're just curious, you'll open the window just a bit, ready to close it as soon as water gets into the car.

I think my answers would have been different, if the question would have been, checking if hurts to jump of a third floor window.

;)

I think that its really coolto be stupid sometimes...
I mean...
when youre like having a conversation with someone...
you could actually say that youve done that, and youve done this..

i mean, weve heard stories about what will happen if we do this...
but wouldnt it be cooler if we experioence these cool stuffs ourselves..

I hope for your sake that you really don't think jumping from the third floor is kind of cool
:)

By the way, thanks for the cat compliment.
I idn't know so many were interrested in them.

Maybe this could be a nice theme for a new thread.

One thing is trying something new for you and other thing is going against something that will happend 99% sure :)

so yes. Very Stupid :wavey:

It's stupid, because it's obvious to anybody with more than a few brain cells that this is what would happen if they rolled the window down in a car wash. If you need somebody to tell you that this is what would happen, then you're a moron.

Your question would have been better posed had putting the window down possibly resulted in some threat of discomfort which was not already inherently obvious.

Very stupid.
Disagree...not-quite-so-stupid. <Granted, measured against mine...>

Depends on the possible downside. In a car wash...not-too-stupid. In a flooded dip (depression), very stupid. :)

Also depends if it is your car or not and, if not yours, how much you like the owner of the car ;)

My aim was to put something into the question that is very obvious anyway :p

Seriously- There are people who believe it doesn't really happen and is just an internal image, something they invent in their mind. They definitely land in a psychiatry, but they try to get away with it by simply saying they're Solipsists. On this message board I've seen people with tons of weird views. A guy in my class suggests he'd be a Solipsist :retard: . So somebody like that wouldn't really care what's going on here or whether their behavior is appreciated as they wouldn't take any reactions of others seriously.
So such people wouldn't really believe that opening the window would let water go inside. That's why they'd be quite careless about trying it out. It's actually philosophy.

 I personally don't do those things but we all do less obvious things to test if it really happens. Like when friends tell us not to date a particular guy because he'd treat you bad, we still do it to test if he'll really end up treating us bad. That's because it's no fact, it's opinions we come across.

p.s. :secret: ur av is hot :inlove:
