Favorite clay court amongst players

I was wondering what Masters Series clay court tournament the players would like to win the most? I'm thinking Either Monte Carlo or Rome with Hamburg as the outsider.

Also I would like to know if there is any difference in the clay surface in these three when it comes to speed, bounce etc.

Monte Carlo would be the main one.

In short Monte Carlo is the closest to RG conditions and has produced the most RG winners in the year that Monte Carlo has been won. It's the middle when it comes to court speed.

Rome is the quickest, cause they use the least amount of clay on the surface and also it's the warmest out of the three and the warmer it is, the faster the clay plays. You have Sampras vs. Becker and Agassi vs. Haas finals that says enough about the pace.

Hamburg is the slowest and the heaviest as the reverse happens when the weather is cooler.

You are going to get bad bounces on clay anyway. Hamburg is the lowest in terms of bounce cause of the heaviness.

For some of the players the best success they had on clay was in their pottery class in school.

They'd use green clay instead.
