Who is the #1 Player in off court Income: Federer or Nadal?

Does anyone know how much money Federer and Nadal each earn annually from Off court earnings?

Obviously Federer makes more annually in on-court earnings but it would be interesting to know how much each of them earn off court annually.

Thanks.

Surely Federer.

I don't know for sure, but I'd be willing to say Federer just based on the fact that he puts out products.

He's also older, and been a much bigger name then Nadal for a longer time.

I would have thought Nadal much like how Sharapova makes more off court than Serena Williams because both Nadal and Sharapova are young, highly ranked, marketable and popular among the media and fans.

If you divide total off court career earnings by pro years, Nadal might be higher. But in gross earnings I think Federer will.

Off the top of my head, Fed endorses Nike, Wilson, Rolex/Lacroix (one or the other), has or continues to endorse Emmi (Suisse yogurt).

And as No.1 I think his appearance fee (also part of off court earnings) would be higher, but that is just a guess.

Highly ranked, marketable and popular among media and fans = Federer. At 25, he's not exactly a geezer either.

Also, Fed is more of a business man than Rafa, I find. Tennis' primadonna and fashionista extraordinaire. Plus, he hangs out with Tiger Woods and all that.

^^

Yeah Roger has teams of people working to get him the big bucks for his endorsements. He uses a management group that deal with very popular athletes and actors and things like that.

Nadal won't gain big endorsements until he improves his English substantially.

I am sure Federer endorses much more products

I wrote "off the top of my head", meaning I did not do any additional research on it.
He might do a lot more, and product endorsements are not the only source of income. Andy might endorse more products, but I bet his appearance fee offers are QUITE a bit lower than Federer's.

Let's not forget the numerous royalty cheques for those magazines he appears in. And not just sports magazines either.

Ok Sorry I thought it whole Roger list

what appearance fees , Roger doesn't paly those tournaments with aperance fees a lot , these season only Dubai, Halle, Tokio and in Switzerland so not much unless Slams and TMS give money for showing up

andy plays much more and in the USA he gets real money he got 150,000 fort showing in Vienna and also 6 number fee for Houston ( possibly 200,000)
he just plays in all those American tourneys where he get a lot of appereance fees

I read during Dubai, that appearance fees may have been as much as half million. I think Bangkok gave a similarly large amount (and just one or two of these would equal another top player's entire appearance fees the whole year, if the numbers are correct).

Exhibitions (like Palma) will also pay a lot I assume. I have no hard numbers to give.

I would imagine Federer, but I can't back that up with any evidence. I'm sure they both do very well in off court earnings.

Agassi endorses a LOT of stuff. Does a LOT of ads, and now has started a furniture line.

Yeah I understand my point is that he gets higher fees for particular tournament but he plays in 3-4 such tournaments

Andy get less but he palys in 7-9 such tourneys so in total he get more

yeah but it is because he is so well known in USA(huge market) and worldwide even people who doesn't know tennis know Agassi unlike to Federer.

There is no dispute that Agassi is a much more recognized sportsman than Federer.

I don't think that is correct, and may be off by a margin.

Dubai:

The appearance fees are off the charts, rumored to be in the $1 million range for the top names.
http://www.standwithus.com/news_post.asp?NPI=688

http://www.sportsmediainc.net/tennisweek/index.cfm?func=showarticle&newsid=16384&bannerregion=

And this is for just one. Players who get $100000 would have to play 10 such tournaments just to equalize on a million, and if Thailand and Dubai pays about a million each, there is just no comparison.
How much do you think Houston pays? Just recently, it was discussed on the board that Houston is so poor that's why they cannot upgrade their clay to match European clay. And they have $200,000 to give out just for one player in just one year? What are the tournaments you have in mind --I can see if there is any reports of how much fees are.
