Who is the most frustrating player?

I agree. Those are the three that I thought of before I opened this thread.

Safin more than anyone. Watching him play when he is in a bad mood along with the result that follows is nothing short of infuriating sometimes. :fiery:

I thought of Safin as soon as I saw the heading. But I agree that Gasquet qualifies too.

I think Hewitt has also frustrated a lot recently.

That's true. At least, he achieved great things in grand slams and davis cup.

For me, the frustration concerning Marat comes from somewhere else, all the injuries and his monumental mood swings. It's really difficult to live with his up and downs and impossible to forget some horrible matches.
And when the player show his frustration, you feel frustrated too.

oh my goodness...Safin and definitely Coria. Gasquet--eh, well he's still young. Seeing Coria blow his chance was horrible. For Safin, the injuries that were constantly setting him back and him buckling down and getting serious too late.

Lately Nalby has been much more of a liability than Safin.

That may be, but with the ENORMOUS amount of pressure put on Henman by you Brits through the years, I have always been impressed with how well he has performed, especially at Wimbledon.

I think Safin did well, contrary to the rest of humanity. Two grand slams is better than most top players today. He played out of his mind twice, and people think he can do that anytime he wants.

Marat can be frustrating, but one of the reasons I like him, and he attracts so many fans is because you can feel his emotions out there. Sure he is very up and down, but staying on one level is kinda boring, no?

PS: Seriously though, Marcelo Ríos was the most frustrating player to root for. And for my father it was Mecir. The pattern as you can see is very clear.

Off-topic: There is a show in Star Sports Asia called Ace. They did an interview with Dinara Safina and she was asked what was the best advice his brother have given her about tennis.

And according to Dinara, Marat's advice is...PATIENCE.

Safin - in terms of brilliant play, but extreme crazyness at times.
Gasquet - Plays brilliant tennis, but not at clutch moments latley! He wears himself out playing longer than he should.

Hewitt, Nadal etc - in terms of the annoying 'Cmon', 'Vamos' etc after opponents make an error, and defensive play.

Safin decided to give his fans one last choke before he retires.

Nalbandian will always be frustrated and Nadal will never be frustrated, which is very frustrating.

Tipsarevic and Nalbandian for their inconsistency, Murray because he's so annoying, and Nadal for winning every damn thing.
