This ATP event is held in Amersfoort and is the smallest of the three main-level ATP Tournaments in Holland. Nonetheless, former players include Alex Corretja, Albert Costa, Magnus Gustafsson, Marcelo Rios, Nicolas Lapenttí, Nicolas Massu, Emilio Sanchez, Miloslav Mecir, Tom Okker, Younes El Aynaoui and Juan Ignacio Chela.
The ticket prices are actually quite good, ranging from €16 (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday), €21 (Thursday, Friday) to €26 (Saturday, Sunday). Tickets for the qualifying sessions are €7.50.
Is anyone here thinking about going to this tournament? I went there two years ago and I was a bit disappointed with the atmosphere there. It wasn't open for the public, unlike Rosmalen and unlike its former venue in Amsterdam. I am, however, thinking about going back there this year.

CooCooCachoo, have you ever been to the Ordina Open?

Yes, on many occasions! I've been there when it was still called The Heineken Trophy :) I try to go every year and I usually go two days, or more if I can. It's really the best tournament to go to in The Netherlands, if you are looking for an open atmosphere. You can watch the players practise, something which was always impossible to do in Rotterdam (not this year though; so that makes the Rotterdam event better, because it has better players) and is completely impossible in Amersfoort. I really think you should go, especially if you live in Brabant! It's not that far away for you then ;)
And if you love grass court tennis, you should definitely go :) And I should get money from the tournament director because I am doing promotion lol. Oh and it is also the best tournament for autographs ;)

Cool, Lieve :)
Saturday is a nice day to go, although I usually prefer going on Tuesday. I prefer watching doubles matches and I want to want a lot of players practising and I also like to select the matches I want to see. On Saturday, you don't really have a choice. I hope you have a great time ;) If you have the time and money, I do think you should try to go on Monday or Tuesday, or in fact one of the qualifying days, too.. the atmosphere is even better then!

I am a bit dissappointed with the playerslist, but i know i'll go mad if i won't go - knowing there is a tournement! :)
