Great mtach from JCF, very very consistent from the baseline, few UEs and trying to hit every "winnershot" from Sveto.
At the end with 5/3 40/0, Igor broke a raquet and the witha new one hit 3 incredible points (as hard as possible) but then JC won the last 2 points and the match.
Now against the winner of Gasquet-Ljubo, a good opportunity to enter again to the SFs in one of "his" tournaments.
Vamos JC!

Good to see not only the results, but perhaps more importantly, more consistent good form from him.

He hasn't dropped a set yet!
The surface in Monte Carlo must really suits his game! ;)
Shame it wasn't on Masters Series TV. Can't wait to see the highlights later!

Hope he will continue with good momentum vs Ljubo or Gasquet! :yeah:

Wow Ferrero is on a roll here.

As long as he doesn't do anything too stupid and hangs in against Gasquet i think he has a pretty decent chance to make the semis here.

I know, and clowns like Mirnyi and Federer too. The ATP should cancel this tournament and declare all results void.

Bad loss for Igor, but good event nevertheless for him and he is progressing well in his comeback.

I am so loving this, after how many years of first round losses, we're getting more wins than anything now. I always knew he had it in him, through the good times and the bad hey, and the good times feel so so good!!! And he's going to beat the hell out of Gasquet too.

And by the way, I never thought you guys would think my 'monte carlos' constant typo was that funny, but oh well hehe

Yeah, getting 6 games off Beto Martin on his home soil was verrrrry impressive.

lol Juan Carlos Ferrero. He's er generally a good player... Got good strokes and all. But he's the mentally weakest player i've seen on tour possibly. When he's losing he snucks his head down and he always puts up with nigel-like expressions and i always laugh at him when he's losing because it's entertaining - you just got to feel sorry for him because of his face. It's always funniest when he plays roddick because he can never return roddick's serves. He can't do anything but just put his heads down haha. it's quite obvious anyway that he has quite a loner personality though.
