Hi Everyone, (don't worry, it's not another petition of my doing  )

Today I received an e-mail regarding a campaign to "Stop The ATP", I know that many of you already agree with alot of the sentiments expressed in this new petition/cause and thought you would like to be made aware of it.

Here is the link...

But if we stopped the adenosine triphosphate, we'd all be in serious trouble. :awww:

:bolt:

I bet you've made quite a few people just look this up  Me included!!

:bolt:Human Anatomy & Physiology 201. :hearts: Thanks for the trip down memory lane; I loved that class.

Yes, I am constitutionally incapable of posting on a thread's topic...What?

I thought I smelled lawyers shampoo. The domain is registered to APCO, a well-known int'l PR co that specializes in litigation communication as well as online strategy.

I'm going to cross them off my list of potential future contracts due to this. They don't even know to register privately? Pfft. :P

you mean, they are hired (by monte carlo?) to set up this petition?

they pretty much say that here http://www.stoptheatp.com/whoweare.cfm though the wordings aren't all that clear.

I don't care if Satan sponsored the petition. I agree with it. I signed. Thanks JayJay for posting this.

Yea, the "wordings" aren't all that clear. FTR, "This petition is supported by the Monte Carlo Country Club, hosts of the Masters Series Monte Carlo."

Just to clarify, here is part of the e-mail that was sent to me, they have made no secret of who they are and whom they are working on behalf of.

I saw your online petition about round robins from a month or two back and wanted let you know that a new site launched yesterday at

http://www.stoptheatp.com

in an effort to get the ATP to rethink its 'Brave New World' plan. The site is supported by the Monte Carlo Country Club and the Monte Carlo Masters Series - they are our client - and we are doing our best to spread the word and hopefully get some fan support to go along with that of Federer and Nadal and the other players who find this all very bad for tennis.

they should have said exactly that on the website. there are fans like lynn who may not like a commercial petition. or a petition that is started by the tournament itself instead of independent fans who don't have associated interests.

anyway it looks like that monte carlo has been pretty smart getting things to go their way, the lawsuit is just one of its resources :yeah:

I don't disagree, Via. :) I was just passing on the info they sent me.
