Ivan never lost serve dispite serving under 50 %. That should shut up the Ljubo is all serve morons.

A demonstration of why neither of these players will ever win anything important. They both got so nervous on important points, especially Stepanek who's notorious tie-beak record continues. It's a shame really because the match deserved a 3rd set.

I believe Ljubo can win a slam, if he can improve his movement and forehand, he can do it. He is the type of player who deserves to win at least 1 slam in his career.

If Tojo could win one, why can't Ljubo?

What to make out of it? How come they can both maintain their focus when serving against BPs, but both fail to press the opponent more on their own BPs?

Can't be just serve; it's not so efficient on clay.

That's bullshit and you know it. How can you say that about someone who is already a couple years a top 10 member? You can make jokes about him all day long but you just can't say that there isn't a chance for Ljubo to win something big. Actually he already won something big, a bronze medal at the olympics;)

How is it bullshit? Ljubo never shows up at majors, he will never win one, that is obvious, I dout he will win a TMS event but stranger things have happened.

Uhm, isnt DC bigger than the bronze at the Olympics? :rolls:

And its not bullshit. Ljubo can't win a slam if he can't get out of the first round against Lopez or Fish

Ljubo still can't break.

And yet he wins, unlike certain players who do break, Mardy Fish who doesnt win a lot.

I think you would be suprised to know Ivan and the great Andy Roddick almost have identical return of serve stats.

But they're two different players when it comes to major achievements :p

If Nadal, a major moonballer, can win a slam, Ljubo has a chance. If there were an indoor slam, he'd be a favorite with Federer and Soderling.

Fortunately for Nadal there's a surface that favors that moonballing, there's no such surface for Ljubicic, and as I recall Nadal doesn't get blown away by top 50 in the first round of slams.

I don't have anything against Ljub but let's be realistic here.

Well, Gilles Muller and Waske weren't exactly top 10s when they showed Nadal the door in Wimbledon. ;)

Ivan has a game to win a Grand Slam but he does not possess the mentality to win one. Last year at the US Open he got pissed because he was not considered a favorite and then he loses in the first round:o. Ivan seems to me the type of player who needs confirmation to feel good about himself.
