Someone tell Nadal to stop using the backhand slice of his in rallies. This is clay, and his BH slice isn't even that good on grass.

It's the results that count in the end - and it's looking pretty good for Rafa alright.

Well yeah. He's still unbeatable on clay.

Obviously, he is practicing it for that clay/grass match against Roger. :p

Seems to be working just fine for him right now.

well, for someone who has won 62 matches on clay in a row, i think he will know how to play on this surface than anyone else

It's not a serious problem. In fact, it's not a problem anyway, he's still smoking other guys on clay

Yes I agree, Nadal obviously has very questionable clay court tactics - how he has dominated for the past two years on the surface is completely beyond me! Someone quickly tell him to change his shot selection - perhaps he should also think about removing topspin from his shots!

lol!!

Well, the slice was totally non-existent back in 2005, but even if it is not good, on principle the change of rhythm can draw errors and in this match he was never in danger, so why not get some practice?

Rafa hasn't lost on clay in two years and people are picking apart his slice? LOL.

As Merton said, the slice somehow got rediscovered just in the past year or so. I have no problem with players using it to get some practice.

Nadal wins easily against a very solid claycourt player and he is getting bagged.

Hahahaha.

I think I might skip this forum over the clay season.

You have to understand as much as there are clay clowns on the ATP, the bigger amount of clay clowns are on GM during this time.
