What? I know that Mergea/Bopanna's results have declined this season and I expected them to split up, but why is Mergea teaming up with Inglot again? There have got to be better options out there.
I read an article that seemed to indicate that Mergea would play with Tecau, I am not so sure about that though as the google translate wasn't great.
Mergea wanted a different approach and chose someone to whom he could communicate well on-court and off court as well. Tecau preferred to continue with Rojer, although Mergea would have wanted more to team up with him in 2017, but it wasn't possible.

Here's his announcement (also in English) from his semi-official page: https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=1216813691721962&substory_index=0&id=815327565203912

I know Pavic was considering focusing on singles next year so Venus might play with someone else. And it seems as though Matkowski/Zimonjic might play together next year as well.

Looking at the Shanghai entry list, it looks like Bopanna will team up with Nestor and Pospisil with Stepanek next season. If Pospisil didn't want to play with stepanek next season, he would play with Sock, who is playing with Nick.

Guccione and Sa have split up but Sa's post makes it sound like Guccione is retiring.

And judging by the Vienna Entry List, it seems as if Pavic and Venus have split up and now Pavic will play with Peya and Venus with Lindstedt. I don't think that those are necessarily the best pairings but they could work.

Right now Dodig is playing challengers for his singles ranking, so this is probably just a temporary partnership. He did the same last year (and Melo actually won Tokyo and Shanghai with Klaasen and Vienna with Kubot), but Dodig and Melo teamed up again for Bercy, the WTF and this season.

Well Dodig/Melo have announced their split. Dodig to play with Granollers and Melo hasn't announced his partner (I suspect Kubot). Really sad as they were a great team and complemented each other well, and even if they didn't have the best results this year, they still won 2 masters. A real shame.

That's a surprise. Considering ERV making the Wimbledon final with Benneteau despite not playing the first half of the season properly. Should be a good pairing though.

I wish that Nestor and ERV would team up - they have a ridiculously good record together and I don't see this alleged partnership with Martin being all that successful.

#31 ·
Agreed. They would be challenging for slams immediately if they did.

Post #1 updated. New (inside) info. Confirmed:

1. Cuevas / Bopanna
2. Nestor / Petzschner
3. Pospisil / Stepanek
4. M. Pavic / Peya

Still looking : Melo, Kubot, Matkowski .

P.S: @Walsall : Any official info on Roger-Vasselin / F. Martin ? Cause I heard Melo is waiting for a decision from ERV. But he might pick Martin, as French usually stick with French.

That was a quick split for Bopanna/Nestor - I wish ERV and Nestor would team up permanently but I guess that won't happen. Nestor/Petzschner is odd considering that he is just coming back from a long term injury. Pospisi and Stepanek is exciting and Pavic/Peya is a little disappointing but could work out well. I wish Pavic had picked someone with a bit more firepower like Kubot.

P.S. Maybe Kubot and Matkowski might reform (I hope not!)

Partnerless at the moment: Melo, Kubot (likely combo), Lindstedt, Venus (likely combo), Guccione, Sa, Matkowski, Zimonjic, Benneteau, Groth, Marach, Qureshi, Draganja

I can't really see them winning much outside of grass and challengers.

Peya/Pavic and Lindstedt/Venus confirmed by NZ press. The latter confirmed for ASB classic.

#36 ·
If he teamed up with Matkowski again, they might some success. They haven't really been the same since their split. Would be a shame for Zimonjic to end his career.
