Miami 2013

Draw:

[1]Bryan, Bob/Bryan, Mike vs. Mirnyi, Max/Youzhny, Mikhail
Haas, Tommy/Malisse, Xavier vs. Melzer, Jurgen/Petzschner, Philipp
[WC]Harrison, Christian/Harrison, Ryan vs. Dimitrov, Grigor/Nielsen, Frederik
Kas, Christopher/Kohlschreiber, Philipp vs. [7]Llodra, Michael/Paes, Leander

[4]Lindstedt, Robert/Zimonjic, Nenad vs. Klizan, Martin/Seppi, Andreas
Dodig, Ivan/Melo, Marcelo vs. [WC]Hewitt, Lleyton/Tomic, Bernard
Fleming, Colin/Marray, Jonathan vs. Kubot, Lukasz/Tipsarevic, Janko
Bellucci, Thomaz/Zeballos, Horacio vs. [8]Fyrstenberg, Mariusz/Matkowski, Marcin

[5]Qureshi, Aisam-Ul-Haq/Rojer, Jean-Julien vs. Janowicz, Jerzy/Mayer, Florian
Isner, John/Querrey, Sam vs. Huey, Treat/Inglot, Dominic
Almagro, Nicolas/Marach, Oliver vs. Cabal, Juan Sebastian/Gonzalez, Santiago
Gasquet, Richard/Roger-Vasselin, Edouard vs. [3]Bhupathi, Mahesh/Nestor, Daniel

[6]Peya, Alexander/Soares, Bruno vs. Marrero, David/Verdasco, Fernando
Cilic, Marin/Dlouhy, Lukas vs. Bracciali, Daniele/Knowle, Julian
Butorac, Eric/Hanley, Paul vs. Bopanna, Rohan/Ram, Rajeev
Simon, Gilles/Troicki, Viktor vs. [2]Granollers, Marcel/Lopez, Marc

Striked out teams have already lost. Doubles specialists Qureshi/Rojer prevail against Janowicz/Mayer.

This is a great draw. Paes and Llodra playing together. I can't ask for much more.
In addition, Melzer/Petzschner, Dimitrov/Nielsen. WC to the Harrisons.
Not too excited about Mirny/Youzhny and Marach/Almagro.
Hewitt/Tomic together. Didn't they have a spat 3-4 years ago?

Re: Miami 2013

Paes/LLlodra a team to watch out. They may continue if things work well, because both have no permanent partners.

We may see Granollers/Lopez from the bottom half, throughout the tournament. Top half seems to be more competitive than the Bottom half.

Re: Miami 2013

Why Tecau is not playing, he was on the entry list.

Bad luckfor Mirnyi, playing with Youzhny and again the Bryans in 1st round

I really wish Paes/Llodra continue till Stepanek returns. As of now, I have not heard any news about Steps, so that could take a while. I hope he is not forced to retire. That would be a shame. He had at least 3-4 years of doubles and a year or two more of singles left in him.

I think Bhupathi/Nestor could have a good showing here. Both of them love the conditions. Nestor was a finalist the last two years and Bhupathi was a finalist here in '10 and won it in '11. Moreover, it is about time that they show their worth as a team. My dislike for Bhupathi aside, I really hope they win because I want Nestor to keep the record for most Master's. When he won his 25th, the Bryans were still on 19, now they are on 22.

I don't know what it is, but Tecau has some injury. The same one that made him withdraw from IW.

Re: Miami 2013

So happy for Mirnyi. After having a last minute change of partner and drawing Bryans in the first round. Youzhny's doubles run continues.

I was worrying unnecessarily. Steps said he will be ready for next months DC tie. So, this is probably the only time Paes and Llodra will play together. Hope they win.

Are there any streams this year? I'd like to see Llodra/Paes in action

You got to wait a few more days for the streams. Streams for doubles has always been an issue.

Re: Miami 2013

Kubot/Tipsarevic clutched over Fleming/Marray 3-6, 7-6 (9), 13-11. Congrats!

I watched it on live scores but not too attentively. I saw that they defended few MP but does anyone know how many MP exactly did they defend?
