This is probably the best career path for the Pole. He will never do anything of significance in singles so maybe being carried by a partner in doubles is the way for him to go. Well done to them both.

Re: Indian Wells 2013

Well If they win tomorrow and decide to play together in couple of next tournaments they can try to fight for WTF. 1000 points it's good start.

Federer
Blake, Tsonga, Gasquet, Santoro, Almagro, Llodra, Brands, Kohlschreiber, Mahut
Janowicz, Kubot, Przysiezny

Great job, Jerzy!
It turned out to be a really nice weak for JJ, after all.

As he's still not burdened too much with a lot of singles matches, playing doubles is a great idea to get some cash and practice. Not to mention taking a shot on a Masters' title!

He made a MS1000 singles final last year from qualifying. And how do you know he's the one getting carried in this doubles tournament? I haven't seen any of the matches due to them not being televised but I'm pretty sure he's probably the one doing the carrying with the serve he possesses.

Mark Lenders banged your girlfriend, I'm sorry to tell you that mate.

Even you would have to admit he has hardly pushed on since that run in Paris. He remains unproven outdoors. He is loud and irritating on court, so when things do not go his way he will rightly be criticised.

He's making small strides, he made the Semi Finals in Marseille, where he took a set off Berdych, and his Australian Open run he also lived up to his seedings. Of course he won't do well every tournament, but I don't expect him to.

Re: Indian Wells 2013

his doubles partner is some challenger player, typically plays with some brit and they barely won 2 matches this season, one of them against poor opponents i doubt that guy is able to make the carrying

he probably has the nice doubles touch at the net though, so they may fit together for that

facts are janowicz has made 2 masters finals in the span between november and march, that's pretty decent lift-up from being a recent challenger player himself.

Comedy is a drama that happens to other people

Re: Indian Wells 2013

pretty good for jerzy.

I've never actually seen him play doubles though so i dont know if this is a good thing in general or just another case of a singles player having a fluke run in doubles with a good doubles player

still hopefully he can win this time

Re: Indian Wells 2013

So much life from Jerzy...What a great tournament IW has turned out to be for him...Almost 90,000 in prize money for singles and doubles here...Great effort from him

I am not surprised he is good at doubles because he has good net play and dropshots and volleys...Really hope they beat thise annoying and childish Bryan twins tomorrow

Jerzy has had a decent start to the season living up to his seeding at the AO, QF at Marseilles, living up to his seeding here and making the doubles final, not to mention pushing his team to the DC World Group playoff

Definitely alot of positives to build on and more money to finance his career...The more of these main tour level events he plays, the more he will learn and hopefully improve

Keep it going, Jerzy Jagger
