Mark Knowles retires

I believe the retirement of a 41 year old from the Bahamas with 17 (!) Masters Series and two year-end number ones is thread worthy. He went 3-8 in Grand Slam finals, winning the AO ('02), US ('04) and French ('07).

I only came to appreciate Mark later on in his career (well, he was already in his 30's when I started watching tennis), but it's sad to see him go. That said, he had a great career and will go down as a legend of the game in doubles.
