London RR: Mirnyi/Ram def. The Bryans 6-4 6-4

A copy of yesterday's match between "Serbs" and Poles - favorites lost own serve once in both sets and were completely outplayed on return games. Mirnyi finished the match with an ace.

Similar story to Nestor/Zimonjic the day before - the Bryans just never really got going and were poor on first serve, which changes the whole complexion of the match - big first serves = easy putaways and no big first serves = extended rallies and net finesse needed. In the end, Mirnyi and Ram served very well on the whole and were very effective at finding holes in the Bryans defence.

After a shaky start, Mirnyi's serve was on fire and apart from a slight wobble when serving for the first set it was difficult to see him getting broken.

Ram served well too, less power but better placement and he was the only player not to be broken in the match.
