AO R1:Mirnyi/Ram d. Jones/Luczak 6:7(5) 6:3 7:6(8)

Saw bits of the first couple of sets and most of the tiebreak, looked like a fun one, with a very passionate crowd

The Aussies blew three match points, including one on Jones' serve, then saved one on Ram's serve, before Mirnyi/Ram broke one of Luczak's serves and the man from Belarus served it out.

A very tough loss for the Aussies, who did well to get to a TB, but should have converted their chances.

I think Ram's chances of defending aren't too good, but a very entertaining match to watch

Jones/Luczak - muggish style at the end.

A joke of a performance by Mirnyi/Ram. Ram couldn't even finish this easy smash at 2-4.

And how can you lose serve at *6-5 in the third against a player G.Jones? They really didn't look good and might lose to the gays in the second round, if they play against them.

It's Greg Jones, not G.D.

But I cannot believe that it was this close. I really cannot. Luczak has no volleys, and Jones has been in crap form for I don't know how long.

Well, they lost handily to López/Verdasco. Pretty embarrassing stuff.

I miss Yoni The steady player! Ram is so hit and miss.

The great thing about democracy is that it gives every voter a chance to do something stupid.
