Who do you think is the favourite in this tourney as the season starts? I missed some interesting teams in the poll, but what can you do?

It's always hard to get a feel for new teams at the start of the season, especially at a totally new event. I guess I'd pick out Ram and Mirnyi, but I'm not really sure.

Maybe we can get some talk going in this forum, it's been pretty quiet

Champions at old Adelaide event:
2008 Martin Garcia /Marcelo Melo
2007 Wesley Moodie /Todd Perry
2006 Jonathan Erlich /Andy Ram

Re: WWW: Brisbane

Two unseeded teams meet in the Brisbane final.

Verdasco's form is very strong, he's here with Zverev, having beaten Damm/Linstedt and a couple of Australian teams, including Ball/Guccione.

Gicquel and Tsonga beat Ancic/Mathieu, Aspelin/Vizner and Parrott/Polasek, surviving match tiebreaks in two of these matches.

Verdasco won't have a ton of turn-around time, but has been playing very well. I think he can pull off the big double, the question is how hard he'll be willing to work for it in his second match of the day

Congrats to rgty who picked Gicquel/Tsonga.

I knew a french team would win but I failed to pick the right one.
