Re: New teams 2009

Max Mirnyi is a great doubles specialist. I think he has been moving around a lot and will either retire, or stay with someone for all of 2009, he is fed up with all of the switching.

Jamie Murray might quit the doubles game, and be like a Thomas Blake, playing some doubles with his star brother, but mainly a coach/hitting partner.

Re: New teams 2009

We could list all serious TMC contenders here, also the old teams.

Kas/Kohlschreiber and Petzschner/Peya have high goals for the next season. K/K have played only 2-3 tournaments together so far, while P/P have played 4 ATP level tournaments with a strong 9-4 record.

Thanks for this

Bruno had mentioned this some months ago but later it was told not to be a 100% truth. It seems it is

Kohli playing more doubles That would be hard i think.

Silly suggestion about Jamie Murray, little or no incentive to doing that.

Jim Thomas - Max Mirnyi - Jordan Kerr - Rohan Bopanna - Andy Roddick - Aisam-Ul-Haq Qureshi - Ilia Bozoljac - Chris Haggard - Jan-Michael Gambill - Donald Young - Nathan Healey - Lleyton Hewitt - Jamie Murray - Olivier Rochus - James Blake - Vince Spadea - Tim Henman - John Isner - Travis Parrott - Paul Goldstein - Tim Henman - Wes Moodie - Arnaud Clement - Michael Russell - Jeff Coetzee

No, he hasn't had the greatest sucess in his career, almost all of his doubles people didn't work out, when he gets older he could do this.

Re: New teams 2009

Jamie Murray is not what you can call a great doubles player, maybe he needs a very good partner to achieve something? like Jankovic in mixed doubles at Wimbledon

Rafael "The Matador of Spin" Nadal
Roger “The Magician of Precision” Federer
Del Potro, Ferrer, Haas, Zeballos

Re: New teams 2009

J Murray should team up with Llodra, they would make an awsome team.

Knowle/Melzer will reunite:

So Aspelin needs a new partner, too.

Good shout, I definitely agree. Both leftie, tall and athletic at the net. Difficult to play against, as was Butorac/Murray, particularly on the quicker surfaces. I think Llodra could help Murray out there.

I doubt Llodra would benefit from that. Clement is also a bad partner, but he is at least a friend.
