Viktor's North American Hard Courts Cheering Thread!

Washington Draw his quarter

Quote:
(5) SODERLING, Robin SWE/BYE
YOUZHNY, Mikhail RUS v KENDRICK, Robert USA
(WC) JANOWICZ, Jerzy POL v GICQUEL, Marc FRA
BYE/(12) TROICKI, Viktor SRB
(15) SELA, Dudi ISR/BYE
HEWITT, Lleyton AUS v (WC) YOUNG, Donald USA
LU, Yen-Hsun TPE v (WC) RUSSELL, Michael USA
BYE/(2) DEL POTRO, Juan Martin ARG
So he and Del Potro, both of last year's finalists are in the same quarter but more importantly... Soderling...

Troicki - Djokovic - Del Potro - Kyrgios - Berankis
Cibulkova - Robson - Kirilenko - Azarenka
Retired but always loving Ferrero - Ancic - Kiefer

Re: Viktor's North American Hard Courts Cheering Thread!

I am not too fond of having Viktor to play Gicquel (the likely winner in R1) in his first match.

I followed the LS and I sensed something was very wrong in his one and only service game.

Re: Viktor's North American Hard Courts Cheering Thread!

I just got home. I was there for all 3 games. Very short, not very sweet. He just asked for the trainer, took of a shoe, then that was it. He's so nice, I feel bad for him going out like that.

Only those who risk going too far can possibly find out how far you can go.

Again the foot injury, damn! Anyone knows more about it? Started in Hamburg, then he played out the match in Umag (but lost) and now it came up again in Washington. Hope it's just precaution and he's not in danger for the TMSs...

Even his foot is OK, the draw in Montreal sucks

R1 vs Ferrer

R2 vs Nadal

and I don't plan to look further.

Re: Viktor's North American Hard Courts Cheering Thread!

Don't think it is that bad a draw for a non-seed. Ferrer is winnable, he only had one good run in Hamburg, before and after he was shit.
And I'd rather draw Nadal then any other of the top 8 (except Tsonga) at the moment...

Re: Viktor's North American Hard Courts Cheering Thread!

I'm back from Legg Mason. I only saw Viktor once and he was practicing. Well, barely practicing. He was jogging about 0.2mph around a court and then stretched and then watched others practice. We left before he actually started hitting... assuming he did.

We were gonna go to his match but he ended up retiring as we were leaving Andy's match and heading over. No pictures to share. Sorry Jess.

nadal | roddick | tsonga | verdasco | gasquet | kiefer

Re: Viktor's North American Hard Courts Cheering Thread!

Omg what a tough draw in Montreal just when his ranking was on the up too, but on the bright side Ferrer isn't at his best on the hard courts and Rafa has been out for a while so maybe he can pull off a couple upsets... that is if he has recovered from his injury from last week. But I'm gonna keep faith and if he can make a good run here he should break into the top 16 and get seeded for these masters series!

Guess his foot is still bothering him. He withdrew from doubles and were replaced by Mulzer/Coetzee
