Marcelo Ríos vs David Sánchez "La Gran Final"

Marcelo Ríos and David Sánchez will play the final this sunday. Good luck to both of them but I prefer to see "el Chino" Ríos winning finally one title in his land.

Rios will win it easy...

Rios d Sanchez 61 62 in the final

Such as his luck...he's drawn Kuerten in Bs. As next week

Come on Paradorn. Pick up your game. You can play better. You know you can. You can do it!

Why isn't Rios seeded? He finished 02 higher up than Lapentti (7), Kuerten (6) or Coria (8)....

This is the reason why he is not seeded.

Coria is seeded 8, the current rankings are:
36 Coria, Guillermo (ARG ) 960

37 Rios, Marcelo (CHI ) 945

Marcelo will surpass Coria the next monday, but as you know the draw is made the previous week.
Yes Marcelo Ríos vs Guga Kuerten in first round, sucks! I would like to see that match but in QF's at least.
Anyeway good luck to Marcelo tomorrow

Blimey, Kuerten-Rios first round! What a match-up... and since it's in Argentina, I guess the crowd will be impartial and simply enjoy a contest between players from the two other great tennis nations of South America.

Rios is obviously pretty confident about the final against Sanchez, judging by what he said in his interview, but he shouldn't be too relaxed about it; the last time they played in Palermo last year, Sanchez had a match point in the final set tiebreak before Rios won it 7-5, 4-6, 7-6.

The Wit and Wisdom of the Tennis Journalist, Indian Wells 2004

ROGER FEDERER: Yeah, I remember this one time when I went on a vacation on the Maldives. That was in the year 2001, I think. I went to this spa. I went to walk around with my girlfriend. I walk in, and we want to book a spa. This guy goes, "AHH, I remember you. You beat Sampras. I saw you on TV." That was like, really, how can you remember me? This guy has probably never been off his island and still knows me. I was a little bit shocked. Then I went to play tennis with him because he was actually the tennis teacher. It was nice.

Q. Were you naked at the time in the spa?

ROGER FEDERER: No. It was at the front desk. I didn't walk in naked.

El chino vs El quijote.
The match has started, this is the best and maybe last chance for Marcelo to win a tournament in his land. He has lost in three previous finals at Chile, the winners were: 1995 Slava Dosedel 1996 Hernán Gumy 1997 Julián Alonso

There seems to be a lot of pressure for David Sánchez, is not only his first ATP final but also he is playing against el chino Ríos at Chile, not an easy match for a first final
Rios leads second set 2-1 one break ahead.

Yeah...Sanchez is in his first final as well as playing Rios on home soil...pretty big ask...

Well, he can learn from this and be a better player becos of it...

I dun think he'll like the Chileans very much after this month... he next faces Gonzalez in Bs. As.

El Quijote Sánchez fight back! David leads 3-2. Marcelo at serve.

Well, David Sánchez won't be an easy rival for Fernando, I expect to see a "hard-to-beat" David in Buenos Aires.

Well we have a match! David is leading 5-2, el chino Ríos seems to be not focused in the match. It seems that there will be a third set.

Fernando is an "all-surface" player, but he is still recovering from a persistent injury
