Who will win at Viña del Mar?

choose your favorite to win

There are rumours about the possibility of Massú's Withdraw, but i haven't verified yet that info. And there are not any info about it in the official website where his name still appears on the singles & doubles draws. For that reason I have added his name to the poll choices

Update: is verified, Massú "will play" against Gaudio, The rumours about his retirement were false

BTW My fav is Nicolás Lapentti, but considering that maybe this is the last year for Marcelo Ríos as a "PRO" (he has announced his intentions to quit, due his injuries) and thinking that he never won any tournament in his country; It would be a nice end for his career if he wins at Viña del Mar.

I don't know, it's pretty hard to choose a winner, almost all the ones who play here are good at clay, because are spaniards or latinamericans....

Aren't all love stories destined to fail?

I'm going with Gaudio.

I lack direction.

Chocking makes me sad.

Well it's hard to see either Sanchez or Montanes having enough to take out the top two, even though it would be their first title if they did, and Rios had a couple of comfortable wins over Gaudio in the Masters Series last year, so I'd say the Chileans are looking at a home winner for the second year in a row.

Ri-Ri-Ri-Ri-Rios!

The Wit and Wisdom of the Tennis Journalist, Indian Wells 2004

ROGER FEDERER: Yeah, I remember this one time when I went on a vacation on the Maldives. That was in the year 2001, I think. I went to this spa. I went to walk around with my girlfriend. I walk in, and we want to book a spa. This guy goes, "AHH, I remember you. You beat Sampras. I saw you on TV." That was like, really, how can you remember me? This guy has probably never been off his island and still knows me. I was a little bit shocked. Then I went to play tennis with him because he was actually the tennis teacher. It was nice.

Q. Were you naked at the time in the spa?

ROGER FEDERER: No. It was at the front desk. I didn't walk in naked.
